Was I mistaken, I thought you said you felt the Genesis account was not literal. Then that since it wasn't literal we had to figure out what it meant. I am asking you why you feel the bible can and should be interpreted as full of hidden meaning, and is not possible that all the other ancient books are worth your attention as well? Why do you feel the bible alone should be interpreted different than it is written? [comatose]

Well, think about it for a minute. A talking snake, a magical piece of fruit, the condemnation of man based upon what Adam and Eve caused. Satan is likened to a serpent, but does not mean that he appeared to Eve as a serpent. "By their fruits you will recognize them", "The fruitage of the spirit", "A bad tree cannot produce good fruit"........these are all examples of how fruit is used as a metaphor in the bible. Christ taught in parables so it is obvious that there is hidden meaning in the bible. I am only interested in the bible and not any other ancient books written by man. The bible is inspired by GOD so it is set apart from any other book ever written.....

Sorry I did not get back sooner. An alarming and morbid scene took place where I live. An elderly man in his 80's took his own life by covering his face with plastic along with plastic around his lap. He then wrapped the plastic from his face around a helium tank, inhaled it until he died. The coroner and the officers just took his body out of the building. It was an eventful night for all that live in this building. The man is resting now, with the hope of resurrection soon. It is sad that people feel this way and are not content with life. It happens daily I am sure. May Christ rescue us when he arrives in The Kingdom of The Almighty GOD....Amen

Well it all depends on whether chocolate is good or bad for you :) I have never had a drug, alcohol, tobbaco addiction, or anything along those lines, so do not really know what it feels like to be addicted to something. Well, maybe sex as a teen, but hey that is another topic lol. So I do find it hard to put away chocolate and have slipped many times. I might just give up and admit that I am addicted to chocolate :)

So where is all this supposed worldwide persecution of Jehovah's Witnesses?

for years, it was drummed into our heads that the whole world lies in the hands of the wicked one who hates us and a result, mankind particularly hates the jws with a passion.. now that i think about it, i've seen very little evidence of that.

i mean yes, in places like malawi, germany and some other countries the witnesses have been through real persecution - not the type that the average dub would call it like doors being slammed in the face.

but what have they experienced that many other religions in other countries haven't?

I was a J.W. for many years and was never persecuted or hated to the extent that the bible foretells. It wasn't until after the 911 attacks that people looked at me badly and even feared me. This is because I am Native American and somewhat resemble those from The Middle East. It prompted me to shift my way of thinking in what the bible actually foretells. People viewed me as a terrorist, and it is true that all nations hate those of the Muslim, Islamic faith. So I firmly believe that they are the ones that are foretold of in the bible. If that being the case, this should tell us how close we are to the end......think about it.

Tall, dark, financially secure, like to travel, enjoys reading and outdoor activities, an optimist...and he wants the same in an average height, tanned, attractive, vanilla lady.

I enjoy my chocolate with a glass of Pinot noir.

lol.......good place for a personal ad I guess :) hmmmm Pinot Noir, never had chocolate with wine might be interesting.

Do You Believe Gods name is Jehovah and why?

many internet sites claiming that god's names is jehovah.. do you believe it is the name of god?.

YHWH or YHVH is accepted as GOD's name. I prefer Heavenly Father because there is only One Heavenly Father, whereas there are many god's. It also unifies people if they accept the fact that there is only One Father.......

This is a good statement :) They are mislead, or willingly deceiving people. GOD knows, and will set those in charge of the W.T.B.T.S. straight.
