I had my stereo on some public radio and they were playing some church chantings as I call them. They are just prayers. I really hadn't noticed them on and the "sister" in the car asked me to turn it off. I did thinking it was cus many people do not share my love for classical music (not that chants are "classical" but you know my point) She then added that they were singing catholic prayers. Gosh, how horrid they must've been. Good thing I don't speak latin! I could have been mislead by demons! In my own car!!!!!

ok fine, i was criticized for my sick day thread yesterday so i shall try to do better this time *ahem* viv i am looking at you!joanna, hon, can't you think on a more lightier subject when your sick?

so if you were turned into an action figure, what feature would make you the must have toy this coming christmas?.

for example i think i would want kungfu grip and holographic eyeballs..

Chasing shadows of the past

i remember being a child and playing in a park.

we would spend our summer days in the park, with all the freshly cut lawn, the swings and the sand to play in.

every once in a while, we would get the bright idea to try and chase our shadows to see if we could out run the darkened shape.

The congregation witch hunt!

has anyone ever studied the salem witch hunts and trails.

what i found interesting about these, is how people who claimed to be peaceful, could get so riled up, that they were willing to kill people.

the spark that lit the fire was often a rumor or false accusations that got out of hand, or perhaps a misunderstanding on a issue or people thinking they saw something they didn't.

Yeah my son was a topic of a special needs talk. We chose not to be there. It would seem that uptight individuals were at risk of being terribly insulted by a boy with Tourettes Syndrome. Oh the stories I could tell! lol

More Talk About SEX, Baby!

i was listening today to the jimmy young show on radio 2. apart from the fact that jimmy young wasn't present, the show followed it's usual pattern of righteous indignation against teenagers, asylum seekers, unmarried young mothers and the unemployed.. todays topic was sex education.. how old should children be before they know about sex?

or should i say, be told all about sex?.

i could't believe what i was hearing.

I have three kids. Sex has never been an issue that we felt was embarrassing. My kids have seen me and my husband kiss and say "ewww, stop that, we hate it when you do that!" And my husband shot back, "If we didn't like doing stuff like this, none of you would have been born!"

Then my six year old little girl said, "just don't be opening your mouth when you do it okay?"

Gee, we had no idea we were so obvious. Oh anyway, they all know how it works and have for a long time. Ever since we used to have two dogs that...well, you know how dogs get "tied" when they make love. Kids got a good shot of that ya know.:) Then we had puppies not so long after.
