My hubby was an elder in the Brentwood then the Okley congration durring that time. After reading about this tonight I asked him if he had any knoledge of this and as I expected he denied knowing anything. Since I know he has lied to others about me and had me lie for him I don't believe much of what he says these days. He was active for 10 years before fading. He was out for about 15 years then returned to the cult about 2 years ago. I was not married to him durring his 1st stint with them. I am not nor will I ever join them.

Hubby's lying

as i figured he denied they were lies.
i asked him that if he could explain how i cut off communication with my sister since it was her who got the restraining order/no contact order and not me.

I asked him that if he could explain how I cut off communication with my sister since it was her who got the restraining order/no contact order and not me. I kinda figure it was her who cut off communication with me and not the other way around. As I knew he could not defend my reasoning, that if he could convince me it was me then I would drop all the other lies. He couldn't. I ended the conversation with wondering who many lies he has told me. It wasn't a pretty arguement.

The elders did in FACT say he couldn't go out in service as long as he is supporting my smoking. We are retired and live off his retirement soley. I do not work so I do not make any money of my own to spend. So sarahsmiles YOU ARE WRONG!

Maybe you should go back and study with the witnesses because if you were ever a part of their cult your still treating "outsiders" like you were still practicing. If you never were a part of that cult you should join them because you think and react like they do.

I have found out that my hubby has been lying to me and a dear friend of mine. Looks like he's using " lying theocratic warfare " on me and my friend. Makes me wonder what all he has been lying about and who all he has been lying to. I don't plan to confront him until after we get home from visiting his grandkids. I am so hurt right now.

Lost ... I wasn't married to him the first go around. I am his 3rd wife. Plus I would never give him that kind of ultimative. It would only build resentment later. He is the only one in the world I don't want to end up hating. For better or worse. Part of my marrage vows. They mean a lot to me.

Mouthy thank you for your prayer. I am not nor will I ever become a Witness. Its my hubby that was in for 10 years hoping to solve his marital problems. He left and was out for 19 years because he " got tired of it all" Then the tornados in Alabama April 27,2011a group came around as we were cleanning debree and salvaging what we could. They were offering one of their so called bible studies. He admitted to them that he was baptized and inactive. Somehow they found our house and my hubby would stand in the kitchen and have me lie saying he wasn't home. He didn't want to get involved again. They were rentless. Then he came home one day and said he was going to take his sister to the meetings on Sunday only. That was 18 months ago. Now he's involved 3 days a week and trying to get privagless to go out in service another 2-3 days a week.

for instance i already mentioned the late 70's to early 80's segregation in the kingdom halls, but in the 90's clear through to now for instance:.
