So I've been reading many posts and threads of people's experiences leaving the jw fold. I get the impression that many here were df'd or da'd due to apostasy. Is there anyone here that found out TTAT after being df'd for a reason other than apostasy? Is thete anyone here that abandoned their effirts to get reinstated after finding out TTAT after being df'd for a reason other than apostasy? Curious....

I was literally floored by their association with the UN. When i saw that they had to reapply every year and that there were signatures involved, I was devastated for days. The hypocrisy was too much to bear.

Complete Donation What Happened?
by Marvin Shilmer incomplete donation what happened?.
today i added a new article to my blog showing part of a never before publicized letter where the watchtower organization makes admission of how jehovahs witnesses actually responded to the 1990 change to its complete donation arrangement.
my article is titled complete donation what happened?

I remember some bragging about how many in the business and media worl predicted the collapse of the WTBTS. Instead the organization flourished with voluntary donations proving that Jehovah always provides. This was said to me while I was studying. It made a big impression on me. Yet another lie.

Bloody livid with school teacher teaching soul leaving body to 6 yr olds
by not bitter injust put my 6 yr old to bed and we always have a chat about the day.
she tells me that she knows about another thing that happens to our bodies when we die in addition to buriel and cremation.. .
she tells me that they can do something really nasty to the body but its ok because they're dead so don't know about it.

I'm not sure belief in the soul is superstitious, per definition in Merriam- Webster dictionary . But I hear ypur point. Religious ideas shouldn't be taught at public schools. I have to admit, though, that I cringed at your response. You explain about what happens to the body at death. But leave it up to her to figure out when she gets older. I don't know.... not criticizing, just sharing my thoughts.

Wait, are they inside the building? If they're outside it should be fine. Although mighty annoying. I hate the DMV. why do they want to talk to people that are already in a bad mood ? Lol

Star Chamber Tactics by the Governing Body (related to Merriman/May)
by Dogpatch inthe following is an excerpt from edmund gruss' "the four presidents," a book that consists of interviews with former high-level officials in the brooklyn headquarters of the watch tower society in brooklyn, who spent years working with the members of the governing body and presidents of the watch tower society.their true identities will be kept hidden likely until they pass on due to family connections still within the wt, but peter gregerson, barbara anderson, ed gruss, and dozens of others including myself personally know these interviewees and can attest to the truthfulness of what they say, based on total harmony with our own experiences which often overlapped.. .
what is a "star chamber?
"wikipedia defines it thusly:.

Listened to the interview od Ed Dunlap. Convinced more and more that i need to do my own Bible research, but where to start? There has to be a good startibg point. Of ciurse, the Bible itself, as he ourrightly proclaims. But I'm afraid to pick it up. What will I fnd? I love how he says that the only real danger to the WTS is the Bible itself.

UUnitarian Universalist does seem interesting. But right now, religion scares me. I want to appreciate my spiritual instincts/ drive/need more than anything right now
