I am stunned with SBF's farewell post. Could it be possible that his account here was hacked? I smell something strange.

New Understanding of this Generation
by pronomono inanother tidbit of information about this generation from the 1/15/2014 study edition under "let your kingdom come - but when?".
they've changed it again.. this generation will not pass away14-16.
what is a third reason for believing that gods kingdom will come soon?.

Good morning folks! So our Lord Jesus Christ is just referring to the generation of "annointed Christians"? How about the great crowd or the other sheep with earlthy paradise hope? Are they not included in that "generation"? Furthermore, how about the rest of humanity living before 1914 or who were born in 1914?
Honestly, I cannot seem to connect that this is Prov. 4:18 in the works where the path of the righteous one is getting brighter and brighter. It feels it is like the reverse - dimmer and dimmer.
Whatcha think?

SFPW, you sound like you are one of the Watchtower's (or GB's) spokesman. Or you could be part of WT Writing Committe in Brooklyn. Your tone proves you are a staunch JW, spiritually active in your congregation.

Stand For Pure Worship, what convinces you that the governing body is being used by Jehovah? Thanks.
by The Quiet One ini struggled with this question before i got baptised.
what helped you to overcome any doubts?.

@pterist I like this short but crisp comment - What they don't seem to realize is that the WHEAT matured very successfully along with the WEEDS during this time period WITHOUT any earthly organisation and in their theology of "Babylon". They even reaped the WHEAT in 1919 from that harvest ?!?!? Which goes to show their ridiculous claim to be God's only organisation that is needed for salvation.

Jesus Christ is King even before 1914 so Why the Need to...
by ProfCNJ ingood morning folks!
i have believed in the 1914 jw core teaching for more than 20 years.
but now, after seeing much about this date, i find it uncomfortable and odd to believe it unquestionably, much less defend it against opposing thoughts.

2+2 = 5, first of all, I like the math. :D
Seriously though, question we want to ask open-minded brothers in the organization is: Isn't Christ already existing "invisibly" since his return to his Heavenly Father?
This is the problem with the unfulfilled prophecy being associated with a specific date. Any edifice built on shaky foundation no matter how majestic it looks will soon encounter structural problems especially when nature strikes. Hidden cracks will soon develop. And no matter how much repairs are done, if the foundation is really the main issue, the edifice will eventually break and crash.

@losingit @label licker Thanks for the kind comments. :)
It really doesn't make sense for a king to become one again if he has held on to that position from inception. Unless he was stripped of the same position at some point in time in history, such a lofty designation stays uncontested in God's kingdom.

Good morning folks! I have believed in the 1914 JW core teaching for more than 20 years. But now, after seeing much about this date, I find it uncomfortable and odd to believe it unquestionably, much less defend it against opposing thoughts.
By just looking at, and reflecting on, some of these bible verses and checking their correlations, it would be reasonable to conclude that Christ is already KING way back before 1914.
Matthew 28:18 from New International Reader's Version (NIRV)
18 Then Jesus came to them. He said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
John 12:15
"Fear not, daughter of Zion; behold, your king is coming, seated on a donkey's colt."
1 Timothy 6:15
which He will bring about at the proper time - He who is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords,
Revelation 17:14
"These will wage war against the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, because He is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those who are with Him are the called and chosen and faithful."
John 18:37
Therefore Pilate said to Him, "So You are a king?" Jesus answered, "You say correctly that I am a king. For this I have been born, and for this I have come into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice."
Luke 19:38
“Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord!” ( Psalm 118:26)
“May there be peace and glory in the highest heaven!”
Therefore, if Christ has existed as KING even when the WT has not been hatched, why is there a need for him to invisibly rule as king beginning in 1914?

Not Forsaking Christian Gatherings
by StephaneLaliberte inat the meeting this week, there was a part about placing our trust in jehovah and not worrying about food and shelter (mat 6:33).
the part was based on the 2013 yearbook p138 and 139 where there were two examples:.
a family went to their convention leaving their chickens unattended for a number of days, worried about if they would survive.

Factfinder, very strange indeed. Prayers can cause miracles or shall we say strange occurences that human mind will find hard to fathom.
Sheep-like Christians, including well-meaning JW's (publishers/R&F), may be guided by the Holy Spirit in their preaching work. While it can be said that that JWs are being mislead by those in the top heirarchy for some questionable teachings (e.g. 144K, memorial partakers), false prophecies (e.g. 1914, 1925, 1975. etc.) and unchristian organizational policies (e.g. complete shunning of disfellowshipped ones), God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ know perfectly what's in their hearts. We cannot pass judgement incessantly (Matthew 7:1 ,2).
If we are preaching the Bible under the purest intentions, sharing particularly CORE BELIEVES about LOVE, fruits of the Holy Spirit (against it there is no law), obedience to God and His Son, I think our Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 28: 19-20) will find a way to give protection. While not all the time, we can trust in the Divine Will.

Hi Clarity and the rest of JWN pals. Thanks for acknowledging our presence. At first I was really hesitant to lurk at so-called apostate site. My conscience was as if carrying a heavy burden. But as days went by, it began to be like a whole new food both for the mind and spirit. :) While just more than 3 month old member in the site, I have learned so much. In fact, I have copied and saved very good comments on critical subjects: 144K, WT 7/15/2013 New Lights, Governing Body, Prov. 4:18, to cite a few.
