Grade of 10 in terms of being able to access information about TTATT for close to 2 years already. Other than this site, I like Anointedjw.org and The Bereoan Pickets. Awakening is a process. It's very challenging with all the ups and downs. Eventually you would decide for yourself how far you will go - or go away from the teachings of the Society.

From 1 to 10, how do you rate the value of the Internet in your awakening?
by Hidden-Window inas we all know, the internet is a real game-changer in allowing us to know the truth about the watch tower and its history.
i always had doubts and it was the internet that presented me with the ever-growing number of individuals who were going through a similar struggle.. i give the internet a 9 in my awakening.
what about you?.

Hi Ding good morning.
Wouldn't you think the hours for pioneering would be increasing as the end gets ever closer?
It seems ironical for the GB to be sticking to the same end of age warning messages yet they encourage lesser and lesser hours to pioneer - from 120 to 90 to 70 to 50 to 30 then to 10 now.
Analogy: If a ship is very close to sinking, as life-savers, would you take less time in warning passengers to jump off the ship and transfer to the rescue boats? Would the Captain of the ship encourage less effort and time among his men who are suppose to remain aggressive until the last passenger is saved?
Haven't the faithful slave of the 1960's, 70's, 80's and 90's figured this thing out by the guidance of the holy spirit? After 100 years from 1914, it would seem the new GB is steering a different direction. JW community should see through all these subte messages and unspoken word and use discernment.

Wow, 17,000+ views for just more than 24 hours? Could be one of those threads with the highest no. of views for a very short period of time. Of this rising no., how many could have been active JWs who anxiously waited for the blow-by-blow updates?

How is this different from erecting a cross within the Kingdom Hall's vicinity?

Is there really a compromise of beliefs here? JWs can argue the fact that they don't bow down or salute the Chile flag, or sing the national anthem while hoisting the flag. Technical justifications you know...

WT for this Sunday...You are My Witnesses
by Legacy inwt 7/15/2014....page 27...question # 17...what will we consider in the next article...paragraph 17...but how can we be jehovah witnesses and at the same time be witnesses of jesus....well well well...i think they really got the point...all through the greek scriptures, that's what jesus has been saying...we are to witness about him....in the hebrews scriptures was about jehovah god, most of the world got that.
now jehovah, put another spoke in the wheel his son...jesus...that's who paul has been talking about all along...that he was witness of jesus, paul knew who god was.
i think the society monitors sites like these & others & found out....they may have been, uh...wrong....wonder how are they going to spin this one off....i won't read the next article just yet... comments anyone ..... legacy.

Excellent research and contributions dear brothers! Saved the points and scriptures here.
With overwhelming scriptural evidence pointing to being witnesses to Christ, the Society should have explained the article showing a battery of scriptures as well instead of stating their own interpretation or take on the matter.
Readers exercising discernment would put a greater weight on the scriptures more than the views of a man-made organization.

@LostGeneration, very true. Imagine the weekly indoctrination and constant bombardment about the End "coming very soon", that the New World is very near, that we are just wasting our time in pursuing other goals OUTSIDE of the WT requirements.
We were prevented from achieving worthwhile goals that are good for humanity at present just because we have conceded that this rotten system of things is about to expire. Imagine if all people will have the mindset of the WT alone? All of us will just become pioneers and preachers (though this in itself is a very important privilege of Christians). How about other equally important facets of meaningful living?

Reflections on 1 year WT Free-breaking the chains...
by MissFit inhi everyone.. i just realized that it has been over a year since i discovered this site and started to recognize i was shackled by invisible chains.
i am still in the process of chipping away on those chains.. i posted on another thread how these threads here are like little time capsules.
the moment, the emotions, the attitudes are all there frozen.. .

Thanks MsFit for sharing your experiences, particularly the shift in your understanding and perspective about your gradual liberation from programmed religious guilt and fear.
Imagine the years (22 years myself) of constant mind-conditioning, repetitive appeal to conscience to feel guilty for failing to ride the Organization's chariot, to measure up to everything the WT teaches. I realized that instead of being free, we became salves to a certain degree which do not bode well physically, mentally and psychologically.
For example, JW brothers didn't realize they regard the Organization more highly than our Lord Jesus Christ; that JW brothers have become overly dependent on the Organization in worshipping God, perhaps unintentionally forgetting that worship which Christ taught should be in spirit and in truth. And the truth is no other than Christ himself.

I am comparing what an average JW feels (who knows nothing about TTATT) to another JW who knows the TTATT. Let's label the first JW as JW-A and the other JW-B. Please feel free to share your thoughts.
It's normal for positive emotions to rise (e.g. feeling of happiness, joy, security, etc.) when JW-A is attending the KH meetings and assemblies, and participating in the field service so much so that missing these gatherings or spiritual activities makes him feel guilty, depressed or sad.
There were times in the past I myself was not happy or not comfortable being in company with non-JWs (a.k.a. worldly) whether in the office or even having a brief chit-chat with neighbors who I grew up with. There seemed to be a voice telling me “they are worldly people, limit your association, they do not know or love Jehovah, they are not a good influence, etc.” But on just the sight of a KH and the brothers, there’s a shift in my emotions. I just feel blessed and contented. When I was supposed to go out in the field ministry and was not able to do it for some reason, I felt bad. Are these feelings normal?
Now that after more than 1 year of continuing to search more about TTATT, I am more comfortable mingling with non-JWs (e.g. friends, business networks). I began to see others around me and their perspectives differently. Instead of judging those outside as worldly, calling people names, passing instant judgment, I began to be more flexible, learn to apply more the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ about not being judgmental and finding ways to love “my neighbor” without religious discrimination. I lament fellow JW’s calling all the others or system outside of the Organization as belonging to Satan. I even hate very conservative/hardline JWs for shunning former brothers. (Before this transformation, I treated disfellowshipped ones as dead people walking that should not be touched or recognized in any form.) When the WT articles are bashing those in the outside world, judging their destruction, I feel indifferent and my eyebrows would prove it.
I began to realize that we can do other good and meaningful things outside of the Organization that can bring praise to God and His Son so why always remain a slave to the Organization and its human leaders?
While a typical JW-A feels contented or fulfilled in being a loyal JW, he/she always sees everything is just temporary under the system of things. Hence, there’s always a cloud of negativity inside him/her. Isn’t that unhealthy psychologically?
There were occasions I had missed the meetings but I didn’t really miss much the fellowship anymore. Is this a typical JW-B behavior? Can you relate to what I have been going through?
What can you say to JW-A’s positive feelings of happiness, content and security? Is this just a result of drinking what others call here as kool aid? Is he living just with illusion, living with less care, lack of practical vision and dream in the present because of the bright prospects of a new world? Would JW-A just cling to the Organization and its teachings since he feels secured and fulfilled than leave it and feel like lost in the wilderness?
