Florida man shoots teen
by designs inmichael dunn pulled into a convenience store parking lot next to a suv full of teenagers who were playing loud music.
he asked the teens to turn down the music, it is uncertain what words were exchanged at that point.
michael dunn then shot 4 times into the driver's side of the suv.

Dunn seems to be in the same mold as the old white ex cop who killed the man texting in the movie theater. I believe it is an epidemic. Old white guys who can't stand the world because it isn't like they want it to be or used to be. Texting may be annoying but it isn't worth shooting someone over. Oh that's right, dumbass was afraid of the popcorn. I guess that teaches you not to bring a bag of popcorn to a gun fight.
Dunn seems to be the same. Young black kids playing their music, which he hates, too loudly. Drive away Dunn. Call the police. It is an excuse or opportunity to vent their pent up rage. Angry old white guy syndrome. You can see them on Rush Limbaugh's show or watching Fox News. They are or feel powerless to change the world back to the good ole days when dumbass white guys ruled everything. They hate that people of color, gays, lesbians or anyone else not exactly like them succeed or thrive. My father fits this mold; i can't stand being around him.
The best thing about this is that within a few years these morons will be off the planet. Yes, sometimes people are rude. Walk away Renee. Or utilize the appropriate means to address, such as management, the cops, etc.
The Rage of the Angry White Male Continues Its Battle Against Equality
Friday, 22 November 2013 11:45
By Mark Karlin, Truthout
Michael Kimmel, expert on male gender issues (Michael Brands, The Aspen Institute)
Is there hope that the ugly, hateful era of the angry white male might come to an end in the United States?
Michael Kimmel, author of Angry White Men: American Masculinity at the End of an Era, believes that the incendiary rage of many resentful white males will ultimately succumb to an altered cultural context.
"Angry white men rage for our attention, yes, but that era of assumed male entitlement to all the positions of power and wealth is coming to an end." Kimmel told Truthout. "Men can be dragged kicking and screaming into that inevitable future, or we can accept it and ask what it means for us."

Steve2, ditto to WMF. It would help the discussion if participants would at least qualitfy their rants. I don't defend Mr. Allen; I do not know whether he was guility, but so much of the tripe that people express as 'proof' or 'evidence' is just that. Tripe. This case, like any other, should rest on the facts, all of which will never be known. You did in your previous post what I have been avoiding; actually rationally addressing the hysterical 'facts' displayed by too many on this board. Based on my research, he had a sexual relationship (and took pictures) of an adult 21 year old Soon Yi. That is fodder for a couple of Jerry Springer episodes and it is major betrayal of his partner. And yes it suggests some ethical problems. But it is not a crime. (Please see the female lawyer's ridiculous diatribe in an earlier post that he 'obviously doesn't see anything wrong with it." - that's because, beeyotch, there isn't anything WRONG with it. Dating an 18 year old looking for a father figure is opprotuntistic (and suggests he likes young adult women, well effing duh), but it is not a crime. It is not immoral nor is it wrong. Making a movie about a 40 something and a 17 year old female (who has reached the age of consent I believe in almost if not all states) may not be one's cup of tea, but it is NOT, I repeat NOT a crime. And it does not make him a pedophile.
Those railing against the age difference would do well to ask themselves if they feel the same pious (excuse me but I'm about to vomit at all of the judgmentail comments on this board) feelings towards Anna Nicole Smith, who married an octogenarian with one foot in the grave and one foot on a banana peel. Or those hot very young women who look for a sugar daddy (I believe there is even a website for such), or who read "how to marry a millionaire," or Courney Stodden who very knowingly and manipulatively married a much older man, hoping it would further her 'career.' And on and on and on. It is the way of the world, people. Get the eff over it. Life and all that is in it doesn't revolve or evolve around your petty little judgments.
I also read in several report that the housekeeper recanted her story about hearing the abuse, stating Ms. Farrow pressured her. And folks, like it or not, passing a polygraph (you can't buy one of these at Walmart and get Bubba, your best friend, to administer it people) is strong.
I'm sick of the judgmentalism on this forum. Let the facts be what they are. And also, in rebuttal to the lawyer's comments about the 'tired old story' about the mother fabricating abuse. I have reviewed lots of data the past few days; several long term studies of such accucsations during divorce battles suggest nearly 60 percent of such accusations have been deemed by the EXPERTS as FALSE. This 'tired old story' is neither tired nor old. It is relevant to the case.
I would wish that the participants on this forum: become more intelligent; become more sophisticated; lose your judgmentalism; learn to rely on facts rather than your pre-conceived 'feelings' 'beliefs' 'prejudices' etc. Geeesh. Some of you were a good fit for the GB and the JWs. They didn't change you; you were moths to a flame.
And Steve, again well stated and I am very sorry for your experiences and hurt.

Well stated Adamah,
I have researched this mess and many experts say the same thing; we will never know, both are screwed up and Dylan and Woody both have some compelling statements to make. I am annoyed as usual by the black and white, right and wrong, judgmental comments by so many on this topic. As usual. No one wants to qualify their statements. They toss around words like 'proof' as if there is any. And so many of the 'definiitive' statements made in this OP threat are pure bullshit. Twisted, false, half truths or something someone read that supported what they wanted to believe withour reading any rebuttal to their 'facts.' This site distresses me. If Mr. Allen is telling the truth his arguments are compelling. If Dylan is telling anything near the truth her arguments are compelling. Either way, if I'm on that expert committee back when all of this occured, I would have 'voted' just as they did. The DA still could have taken it to trial. And lost.

No they wouldn't. Gays and lesbians would still want families. If they were in charge they would make the necessary changes, rules, laws, etc. Human beings are much much more flexible than that. I can imagine they would provide cash incentivies to straight couples to have as many children as possible and pay surrogates handsomely. Think outside the box. Having children and families is not isoalted to hereros. And once our society accepts people for who they are you are likely to see gas and lesbians acting a helluva lot more like heteros in lots and lots of ways. Including having children and families. There has been a number of articial barriers in their way to permit this. Called laws. Or perceptions. Once those two things go away life won't be much different other than most children under that scenairio would be 'wanted' and 'planned.' That might not be such a bad thing.

Probable cause can be based on nothing more than someone's statements and is open to conjecture. DAs only move forward, typically, on cases they think they can win. The Michael Jackson case is an excellent example. I believe brother Michael was gulity, but having seen the pathetic opportunist 'victim' and his family, the jury favored MJ. I think they beleived MJ was guilty as well, but the prosecution's witnesses were awful. Woody's case is so much more shallow, based on what I know (and I admittedly am not an expert but I doubt anyone else on this site is either ). If they thought they could have won the case they would have moved forward. An expert panel didn't think he did it.
I have empathy for Dylan. I don't know the truth. But, if what Woody Alllen said in his response is true, his credibility is higher. An expert panel beleived that a long time ago. He may be lying. I do not know. He may be a molester. I do not know. But Soon Yi and the girl on Piers Morgan, although raising some suspicion, are not 'proof' about anything. As I understand, both Soon Yi and the woman on Piers Morgan say very good things about Mr. Allen. But I know that those certified to administer lie detection analyses are held to a very high standard. If my memory serves me correctly (don't hold me to this because it has been a long time and I didn't spend the time reseraching), O.J.s lawyers also hired ther own polygrapher and O.J. failed.

Badfish,
Lots of men have sex who never want children and take steps to never have children (vasectomies, condoms, etc.) Even more women have lots of sex and never have nor want children. Everyone wno procreates has a lot more sex than just for procreation. It's called fun. Pleasure. Think about it. If the planet was full, governments would have no other choice but to limit procreation. It's already happend in China and other places. There will likely reach a point on this planet where bringing children into the world will be tightly regulated for everyone and perhaps banned for a while. But people will still have sex.
And if procreation is the only reason you think people have sex, I guess, like the GB/FDS, you think only vaginal intercourse is 'appropriate.' (I effing hate that word). So no oral sex???? because that wouldn't be the primary purpose for procreation now would it? That's only about pleasure. I guess you would make a good member of the GB.
You have a lot to learn. Open and expand your mind. Try to stop thinking in the enclosed black and white world you have lived in for so long. And your smart ass response about admitting you were wrong just shows your ignorance. Try some humility. Learn something.

He dated young adult women. That isn't illegal nor is it immoral. If it doesn't fit your sense of right and wrong so what? It isn't my cup of tea either but I don't give a rip. I am not aware that he did anything improper with Soon Yi before she was of age. If you are then turn him in. It works both ways. Young adult girls are also looking for father figures at times, as the woman referred to on Piers Morgan. So rich and entitled men want to date young adult women because they can? Duh. It also happens in the trailer park. None of that has anything to do with child molestation. And BOTR, you state Soon Yi is 'proof' he would victimize a child? Proof? Really? Proof? No one else saw it as 'proof.' You want to reword that and re-submit. Proof? Really? I wouldn't want you on any jury I was subjet to nor making any important decisions about the planet. Im really not surprised by the judgmental statements on this topic. I've found ex-JWs to continue to be some of the most judgmental, closed minded, unsophisticated people I know. Disappointing.
Lots of very powerful people tried to bury Woody Allen on these matters. Nothing stuck. Thank goodness rational fair minded people required something more before burying him. The facts. Something most on this forum don't care about. Just thier feellings, beliefs and pre-conceived and pre-form biases and judgments.

That an 'older man' would fall in lust/love with a younger woman is, well, DUH. That he would consider this with Mia's adopted daughter is to me problematic and reveals something about his personality. If she was 19 she was an adult. I understand what you mean by sophistication, but Soon Yi was probably more advanced than other girls her age. Like it or not, it isn't illegal nor immoral. If it isn't my/your cup of tea, so be it. I couldn't care less.
None of that is compelling evidence for or against molesting a 7 year old child. None of it. He willingly took a lie detector test? I find that freaking amazing. Considering the cirumtances and what I know about this topic (which is a lot), I wouldn't have taken it if I was the most innocent person in the world. Although quite accurate, they are not fool proof. Mia Farrow wouldn't? I find that revealing.
