Good for them. There isn't anything 'disgusting' about it. Maybe this will cause Serena to get in better shape. Venus rocks. The only thing about these sisters that is difficult to understand is why they give praise to Jehovah after they win championships, with the microphone in their face and millions watching on tv.

Public Speaker Cries During His Talk
by James Jackson inhis talk was about reaching out for the real life.. he is in his mid seventies, then begins to rant on about staying loyal to the organization because many of us have lost loved ones in death and if we want to see them again we must remain in the organization.
he says he wants to see his father again, then the tears begin to flow right there on the stage.... then an elderly sister during the watchtower study admits to regetting leaving her daughter behind to seek a better life in the u.s, and she is crying.... these 2 meetings was just plain weird..

Shirley, funny stuff (again). Commander, thank you for sharing your experience. Mine is similar.
As I've pointed out before, beliefs are one step up from emotions (at the bottom rung) on the evolutionary ladder for homo sapiens, and the more educated/intelligent an individual the more likely they are atheist. Those are facts, not opinions. It is predictable that these types of behaviors will become more common amongst the Borg, as the educated and the intelligent continue their exit from the cult. What is left will be less educated and rely on feelings and emotions to support their beliefs, because considering the evidence and facts before them is simply too difficult and/or too painful.
Sad, really. They deserve better.

Disturbing Footnote in Tomorrow's Study Article...
by HeyThere inarticle is basicqlly about families where a spouse is working away from home for an extended period, etc...a foot note says basically that some studies have shown that working away from home can cause serious consequences, such as infidelity, homosexuality, or incest.

Shirley,
As usual, funny insightful stuff. Thanks. DOT, Shirley is right. If the Dark Lords had ANY real, empirical data to support their papal-like edicts, they would source them. They don't and won't. They would rather rely on their own delusional, narcissistic authority, as it is more effective at controlling the sheeple.
I will say this again (and if any lurkers are on the Borg's writing committee I am feeling your pain): those developing and writing these articles have months to write very good, well researched and helpful articles. That they continue to read like comic books and be devoid of any empirically supported data suggests that: a. the writers are morons (which I doubt); b. the writers have had their hands smacked by the GB - or their words changed - so many times that they are now Pavlov's dogs (think Ray Franz) (which is likely); c. a combination of a and b.

The stupidity of the GB shows that they are not the least bit sophisticated or intellectual. Or caring. All that was needed is a kind reminder to watch your p's and q's if you have to work away or be away for a length of time. And be mindful of temptations. And show some concern and empathy for those who have to relocate for economic reasons. As it is now, they have narrowed it to address only the most hideous sexual subjects Dubs can hear. The shock value is what they are intending, but it reads like dumbassville to the rest of the world. Otherwise, when 'reports' come in that traveling Dubs get into gambling, gangs, smoking, gun running or drug smuggling they will have to re-write the article. Or maybe those things are ok.
The same mentality annoys me on this site at times. Indiividuals take 'reports' or 'studies' of extreme or isolated behaviors associated with the tail ends of bell curves and try to project it across the entire population. One country, one area, a few individuals. Yeah, let's make another rule. That's a lot easier than actually leading. It's clear by the number of views that a lot of lurkers, likely current Dubs, are following this. What are you all waiting for? Can it be any clearer?

JustVisiting,
Thanks for the example. The Dark Lords rely on their own authority. "Reports" allows them to act like what they are about to spew is honey rather than garbage. And as mentioned, relying on other authorities, such as academic studies or empirical data, would set them up to be scrutinized and their 'arguments' dismantled. This is just more of their amazing lack of humility. You gotta know that the individuals on the writing committee are well past the time when they tried to source or reference articles. They have to really be ashamed of themselves and what they do. The GB has no shame.

Kicking the "Gay Habit" at the IC
by breakfast of champions inheard from a reliable source that this was part of friday's program.
they even interviewed a "former gay man" who "kicked the gay habit".. evidently kicking the "gay habit" is difficult, not unlike quitting smoking or avoiding sugary snacks.
the persons who related this to me found the whole thing to be laughable at best, but honestly seemed quite disturbed by it (which is good!

Quendi,
Beautifully spoken. Thank you. I've pointed out in other OPs on this subject that those who support hate against the LGBT community, whether it is in support of someone who doesn't want to bake a cake, take a photograph or otherwise refuse service to the LGBT community or allow them to marry, etc. are contributing to suicides and deaths (Matthew Shepard as an example). The intolerance shown by people, including their language and 'political' and social beliefs, affects those around them. They don't operate in a Libertarian, egoistic, Borg (resistance is futile), theist vacuum, even if they think they do. There is a lot of bloodguilt, IMHO. As for the Borg, with this, the blood issue and others, their hands are deeply stained with the blood of innocents.

NotNew,
I can't argue with that!!! ".. .someone or science has to come in and save the race."
NBC's show "The New Normal" is about a gay couple hiring a surrogate to have their child. Google this topic; it's a growth industry.

By impregnating your straight friend. Or hiring someone to become impregnated. Or hiring two people, one to impregnate the other. That's called business, not science.

Blondie, spot on. They have no studies. The writers of these articles have to be working on them for months before they appear in the WT, etc. Assuming they have any training at all, they know that definitive statements require support by empirical data in articles that have any credibility. They also know that there are studies on just about everything imaginable and have time to research the topic completely and cite sources for their comments.
It is likely that any sources/studies they quote would be ripped to shreds by its detractors and by some rank in file who cared enough to actually do some research, which takes a few minutes now on the 'Net. I would expect to see more articles and statements supported by 'some studies' in the future. They lack any academic credibility; they are written to control the under-educated and the brain dead.

NotNew,
Researchers conduct these studies by measuring responses to images, etc., such as pupil dilation, respiration and heart rates and of course genitalia response. As for the rest of your comments, these have been addressed in detail previously on this site. Why would you think we wouldn't reproduce? Gays want and have children now, and science is rarely involved. Have you heard of surrogates? Humans would work all of that out. Please research the previous OPs on this.
