'Covenant' Marriages -- A new type of marriage, harder to divorce
by rebel8 inas i understand it, covenant marriages are available in a few states.
they are a supersonic, superfine version of conservative marriage.
it's harder to divorce--it has to be with certain causes or agreement of both spouses.. covenant marriages have been criticized by human rights advocates as a potential tool for abusive spouses to restrict the escape of their victims.. in at least one state, the couple must receive premarital counseling and the signature of the counselor before obtaining a covenant marriage.

As the great 20th Century philosopher, Willie Nelson, once opined, the reason divorce is so difficult and expensive is that it's worth it. -

LAWHFOl,
Bullshit. You don't know me other than a few posts, so you don't know that my arrogance is exceeded by my humility. What I said to CB was accurate and he needed to hear it. He doesn't need to hear love me do shit. There are some issues with him, and those of you who placate him are doing him no favors. If you, or CB, can deconstruct anything I said on this OP have at it. You don't like the manner in which I delivered it? Too bad. Sometimes it is sweet; sometimes, eh, not so much.
And those of you using the dislike button, please, give me all you got. Cause that's all you got. Come out and play if you have a rational argument. Or stay safely behind your mouse with your pettiness. It's all the same to me.

CB,
Once again you blame shift and accuse in a lame attempt to draw attention from the blackness in your personality. I made no such claim, only that, in this particular type of incident, the type of thoughts and machinations never entered my mind for one micro-second. Ever. And please tell me what difference how many elderly I've taken care of matter in this matter. Whatever I've done has been for one purpose - to do the right thing for no other reason than it is the right thing to do, without fear of some sky god killing or rewarding me.
You might try that. Once you get past the blame shifting, rationalizing, red herring, straw man excuse making, justifying, name calling stuff. One more time: everything I said to you is 100% accurate. If you find fault in any of it please, by all means, de-construct it analytically. Otherwise, keep quiet and show some humility for once.

CB,
More blame shifting. Expected. Now I know why I never agree with anything you write. EVERY thing I wrote was 100 % accurate. If you can rationally de-construct anything I wrote, have at it.
That you have a problem with any of it is YOUR problem. Deal with it. Grow up. Do some soul searching. Look in the mirror. Without vomiting if possible.
Lots of us have held up a mirror for you to see what you are in this matter. The picture isn't pretty. Rather than humbly and quietly admit it you blame shift, rationalize, justify and name call.
You should have stopped with post 1. You had a chance to salvage any view that we have about what you are. I'm trying to help you; you have to let me.

millie,
You are so kind; always the good cop and always trying your best to minimize hurt and maximize positive. I'm glad you are here. I really am. But you can't put lipstick on this part of CB's piggish personality and come away with anything other than a pig. With lipstick.
LOTS of us have been frustrated with life and especially with the Dark Tower and Dark Lords. Lots of us would never ever even consider this type of greedy grab. Your kindness is off base this time. Not everyone who tells you sweet things is your friend, Millie and CB, and not everyone telling you harsh things is your enemy.
And Wasanelder Once: "Goodness is its own reward." It seems when it comes to these types of OPs and issues that your excellent axiom is typically associated with the rationals.

Yet more rationalizing bullshit, this time with a blame shifting, victim, focus: "Man, the holier than thou bullpoop in this place is nearly has bad as the KH."
Clam, you are just like my ex-GF (with a stress on the 'ex'), a greedy grabbing manipulative opportunist. Trying to justify or rationalize it is more of a problem with who you are as having these dark thoughts in the first place. And yes, CognifiveDizzy, there are a lot of us, including me, who have never and would never try to greedily grab something that didn't belong to us.
I agree CB, Simon should delete this OP. If he can delete the portions of your mind and heart that would attempt to lamely rationalize and justify your greedy grab that would be even better. You should have stopped when you were ahead, which was post 1.

The following rationalizing pile of bull-shit has absolutely nothing to do with whether the old sister includes your wife in her will and especially whether you should try to manipulate her to do so:
- They are friends and your wife is sincere
- The old lady is a nice person
- The elder is a fat sack of shit just doing his job (would it matter if he were a slender, handsome, kind elder who was just doing his job?)
- That the old lady may give all of her $ to the Dark Tower (she can give it to the gay, midget, catholic nun society if she wishes - it is her money and none of your bees wax)
- Your wife is pregnant and signing a blood card
- Whether your wife may die because of her stand on blood
- Whether the meeting with the elder was secret. Would it matter if the meeting was public?
- Her husband just passed away
- She never had any children and she has no blood relatives left. The only relatives are a niece and nephew on her late husband’s side and their children.
- Whether the old lady is close to any of her family.
- Whether any JW attended his funeral or whether they are all assholes and cunts.
- Whether only 2 attended and they wouldn't stand for the prayer
- Whether her husband liked the JWs
- Whether there are elders in their 60s that are still living paycheck to paycheck and living in apartments
- Whether you trust these fuckers and they are just looking for a handout.

The Bible is NOT Error-Free
by FusionTheism infor many christians, the bible is viewed as the 100% error-free, perfect book straight from god, where every single word was carefully chosen by god for a reason.
but, usually, when you have a discussion on the topic, these christians will end up saying that only the original copies written directly from the hands of the prophets and apostles were error-free, and all manuscript copies since then are subject to copyist mistakes and other errors.. since zero original copies are in existence, how do we know the originals were error-free?
why should we think the originals should be error-free to begin with?

Fisherman,
I avoid theist OPs, and you and I have never had any reason to cross paths on this site. You have used the word profane twice now to describe the very funny video Viv posted. We get it. You would want to be our moral compass and our hall nanny. There are a lot of things on this site, the world wide web and for free tv that children would best be served to avoid. So what. There is a place for adult humor, especially when it is making such a salient point. You say irreverent and profane; I say damned funny and spot on. Potato, potahto.
Funny Stuff.
Simon didn't delete it, so evidently it didn't cross the line. it offends you and you didn't find it funny, wonderful. Stupendous. Change the channel.
But if you wish to continue being our moral agent and hall nanny, you will have another wise ass to deal with. I respect and avoid theist discussions; I fukking hate to be preached at.
Ok, now I will leave a theist OP alone, as I am in danger of violating the prime directive.

10 years and Satan finally struck....
by snare&racket ini left around a decade ago, life has not been easy, but it has been profoundly better than the jw robotics my earlier life chapters resembled.. my current life was going so well, too well...... and finally the nemesis of jahooha came out from his dark hiding place.
no longer in gods tent i was as vulnerable as the chinese job and his unfortunate sheep and children.. satan, bless his socks of cotton, has finally attacked, he broke my leg the dark lordy bastard.. a spiral fracture of the fibula and various fractures the ankle joint.. the worst of all his evil doings was the story i have to tell people, it's 'mechanism of injury'..... i slipped on some grass.
yes the devilish ball rash, got me good.. so now, i sit bored, wishing i had meetings to prepare for, talks to write and i long for the live bombing i would have received as an interesting new kingdom hall event in the decades of waiting on jahooha..... but all i have is some lame ass, american apostates on a forum..... tchhhh.... .

Snare,
That (S)Limey bastard Satan!! It could have been worse. I tore my achilles and everything else around it nearly 1 1/2 years ago, and it is just now getting back to normal. Glad to see you continue to visit our dysfunctional little group. Each time you visit you leave us taller, smarter and better looking.
