  The have been shunning those still in for decades by a variety of measures, all of which have been supported directly or indirectly by the Dark Lords (marking, viewing those who miss a few meetings or have low hours in FS as 'weak' or 'bad association,' often failing to invite such ones to the reindeer games or other congregation functions, restricting 'privileges", etc.).

  The elder wraiths are simply doing the will of their masters in Brooklyn. A lot of elders LOVE this kind of stuff; it gives them a reason for living and a feeling of importance. Now they get a chance to rid the congregation of evil, keeping it clean and white for the evil Sauromons in Mordor.

  To all site members and posters. Please, please, please try to refrain from referring to the cult as the 'truth.' I don't even like ttatt. There is nothing truthful about this hate filled cult; it was formed on lies and it lives on by lies. I stopped using that term immediately after exiting the Dark Tower. I do not understand why so many of you continue to use it.

  The sooner we stop using the loaded cult-like language which was designed to indoctrinate and program us, the quicker we can all move past it.

  The Dark Lords have a mitigation strategy from what I read on this site: Baptize 10 year olds with the hope of trapping them in the cult forever. Born ins leave at close to a 70% rate, and that % is likely to increase in the future. The Dark Lords have apparently developed a dark and evil strategy to address it.

  Shunning isn't going anywhere, as it is the two pronged approach to keeping the born ins in. Without it, all of them walk by the time they are 19.

  What else can they do to spread their infection? They are screwed in the industrialized and wired nations, and the numbers they get in the emerging countries are bleeding the coffers, putting even more pressure on the undereducated, lowest income earning religious members in all the industrialized nations to provide sufficient $ to build a lot of 3rd world KHs, convention centers, and Bethels.

  Lurkers and current Dubs - The Dark Lords (i.e. GB) are evil men.

  A possible reason why the GB are becoming more demanding as things worsen

  basically because they feel they are not being blessed.. this is not to say that all gb members feel this way.

  the power hungry ones love getting the whip out.

  the other members incorrectly look to the old testament for answers.. they are telling the sheep to be faithful, dedicated, self sacrificing, serving to the fullest, whole hearted and obedient.

  This illustrates the grave concern for why Warwick and Chemsford are being built. This would appear to bode ill for this hate filled cult led by its narcissistic, hateful, delusional leaders.

  When cult leaders are isolated from the normalizing influences of other communities, they are subject to mutual validation between themselves and their members. The leaders grandiose conception of self, and the fears, paranoia and sense of an apocalyptic vision waiting to be fulfilled, are all mirrored back to them and further distort the mental processes. When the cult is under siege, e.g. Branch Davidians, Jim Jones, fact and fantasy begin to merge. All the deviant mental processes are heightened.

  
  

  As the end approach, Koresh's and Jones' behavior became more erratic. When cult members were exhausted Koresh raced through the dorms, ringing a loud bell and beginning marathon Bible study sessions because of the 'urgency' of the times and threats against them (sound familiar Dubs - and don't you get sick of hearing the word 'urgent'?).
  

  
  

  Psychotic cult leaders blur the boundaries between reality and fantasy, exhibiting grandiose ideas about themselves, persecutory beliefs and a conviction that the end of the world is nigh. The Dark Lords have THE most delusional fantasy of all, as they and only they are being used by god to bring about complete destruction of planet earth save the few Dubs hiding in the ark.

  
  

  All of these personality traits become exacerbated as cataclysmic psychological stress takes hold and the cult's end draws nearer, and these reactions are also intensified by the psychology of the cult as a group. The good-bad splitting occurs on a wider basis; the world is divided into us and them, the outside seen as threatening and evil and the cult inside as threatened and good. In other words, they circle the wagons; they eat their own.

  i have enjoyed some fascinating debates on the forum.

  i have found it interesting when" facts" have been presented to support a viewpoint, yet the " facts" have then been rejected.. what does this mean?.

  well the " truth" is as a dub, i was often presented with " facts" that the organisation was wrong, yet as this information challenged my belief system i convinced myself the " facts" were either completely wrong or misinterpreted, .

  Back Story. Experts in these areas suggest that humans have been around in their present form for about 100,000 years. For about 85,000 years our ancestors were hunter/gatherers existing in smallish clans and groups and going where the food was. About 15,000 years ago humans figured out how to plant food and cultivate it. Voila, the farmer was born. Experts suggest the humble farmer was the genesis of modern civilization, as now humans could stay put, grow their food and build communities around them (while still fending off nasty hordes for a long time).

  
  

  But let's go back to the first 85,000 years. Researchers suggest that the typical humans busied themselves in four pursuits, commonly called the 4 "Fs": Feeding, Fleeing, Fighting and Procreation (you are welcome Simon). During this period, humans who could achieve these tasks at a high level more often survived to pass along their DNA. Rational thought and intelligence obviously were factors along the way, but when the primary issue is to eat or be eaten, kill or be killed, have your way with your women and keeping them away from other males, or get the hell out of Dodge as quickly as possible, those given to quick and powerful emotional reactions to real or perceived threats were often the fittest. There isn't much place for philosophy, altruism, fair play, over analysis or self actualization when the 4 "Fs" occupy your time.

  
  

  So to be fair to our pathetic species, we are who we are for a reason. Think about Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs. The bottom support for this pyramid is comprised of security and safety - food, covering, etc. Maslow suggested that humans couldn't reach the higher rungs unless and until the bottom rungs were satisfied. This fits perfectly with how we evolved.

  
  

  Consider the Myers Briggs Personality Type Indicator. Upwards of 45% of the planet's population is in the Guardian category. Artisans and Idealists follow. Dead last, with only 7% of the population, are the Rationals. The manner in which we evolved helps to explain and understand this.

  
  

  Although Maslow and MB get some criticism, they are very accurate in explaining human tendencies and personalities.

  
  

  So to sum it up; we are screwed as a species. It will take generations to begin changing our basic nature through natural selection. Long live nerds and engineers.

  Because humans are an irrational, un-evolved species typically driven or led by their emotions, and emotions are the lowest rung on our socio-evolutionary ladder. Confirmation bias and pride are two of the primary factors, and both have everything to do with emotions and nothing to do with rational thought.

  Having said that, most of what we present in debates is more evidence than fact. We all should demand critical analysis of evidence, regardless of the topic. But alas, too many of us dig our furry hooved little feet into the concrete and clinch our tiny fists into balls and dig in for a fight.

  i occasionally come on this website because i have my eyes on a particular user.

  because of that, i end up reading a lot of people's post.

  although very interesting and hurt breaking, a lot of them are very strange.
