In the 20 years or so before coming onto this site in June of 2013, I never had the first religious discussion with anyone, and this site is the only time I ever talk about being an ex-dub and I resolutely avoid religious discussions here as well. Regarding the dubs: the few times they have come to my house or have crossed my path I have been kind, gentle and positive. I've been outside working in my lawn a few times when they have been in FS, and I am respectful and kind (otherwise I practice that time-honored practice - I avoid them). There is no need in shooting the messenger. Now those old white dudes (and one token) in Brooklyn . . . . . .

I am a supporter of the arts. I've posted pictures of my house illustrating some of my art collection, and I've supported and volunteered at our local museum for many years. In addition I have supported the local Opera community and the Symphony.

I don't talk about it much because it seems that it seems pretentious to do so. I've avoided adding another pejorative adjective to arrogant wise ass. I don't know though. Pretentious Arrogant Wise Ass. What do you think, class? Better? Worse? Same?

would any of you let your children enlist, or would you yourselves join any military field?

Hopefully your comment was a aberration. You usually make sense. I'm with Cofty (dammit Cofty, be WRONG once!!).

Bad choices in which wars are begun or entered and how they are fought are typically caused by politicos and not the military; the War in Vietnam is a textbook example of this.

Having worked closely with various current and former military people the past 20 years, I've developed a huge amount of respect for what they do. The vast majority of them want to do the right thing. They are on that wall because they are drawn to protect what is behind it.

I find that a noble cause.

Oh I forgot,

The Dark Lords and their Evil Wraith Elders are collecting us all together, ensuring we are all shiny, clean and white so that they can make sure no one wearing a different color gets on the Ark (they've trained their body snatchers to immediately spot someone with an individual conscience). And they know the time is reduced. After all, it's almost 1879. I mean, it's almost 1914. I mean, it's very, very close to 1925. Did I say 1925? What I really meant is that it is damned near being 1935.

Oh darned. A senior moment (these topics are so Compound and Complex). What I really, really meant is it's almost 1975. Or was that 1999?

Well. It WILL be in this generation. Or was it the other generation? Or do the two overlap? Help me Compound Complex, you're my only hope.

Too much Starbucks in the morning. But really, is it even possible to have too much Starbucks?

And it isn't really my fault (classic blame shifting to follow). I exercised 'loving kindness' and virtuous Patience (the virtue, NOT the stripper at the Platinum Club. Although Patience (the stripper not the virtue) definitely has a few virtuous ass-spects).

I didn't respond until two months after this OP started and not until post 231. I'm improving.

Well done. I've avoided this OP because I can't respond in a respectful manner. You summed up most of what I would say if I was being fettered. I would have added to take back control of your conscience, your freedom of choice in what you read, watch, consider, whether you go to college or allow your children to go to college, whether you go to proms or school functions or whether you allow your children to participate in them, whether you play sports or allow your children to play sports, whether you vote, what you or your children wear or how you each cut your hair, whether you celebrate birthdays or other holidays, whether you build a house or start a business or go on a vacation or any of the other life choices that are YOUR business and NONE of the business of the Dark Lords or their henchmen elders.

This is also meant for the delusional, I mean disillusioned lady thinking about getting reinstated after 26 years.

I would rather be shot in the head with a rusty nail gun than spend one more minute inside that death dealing, ambition killing, dysfunction attracting, dysfunction breeding, hate filled, personal conscience and individual choice robbing cult that eats its own at perhaps the highest rate in history.

And if their god is such a small minded, hysterical, insecure, jealous, un-trusting, homicidal, vengeful POS, she can go fukk herself as well.

i was at a wedding the summer before i left the jws and i met an old friend.

he had been reinstated for 6 months, he was dfed for 4 years.

so it took him 3 1/2 years before they would let him back in.

Not surprising. We all know how this cult works. No cult eats its own quite like the Dark Tower, and all of the behaviors he describes are either directly or indirectly taught and reinforced by the Evil Dark Lords.

I know a lot of docs; few if any of them will get involved in such a situation between married parents fighting over a child's medical directives. What you have suggested is determined by lawyers who fight back and forth as to who gets to be the primary parent and/or in charge of medical decisions, typically during divorces. Based on what I've read, Mr. WILL fight it. An end run is bad form, and it is likely that the medical profession will ignore such an end run until the lawyers fight it out.

That's why I stated that, if this is her decision, an attorney specializing in these matters should be her first stop.

Making ultimatums almost always backfires (google it). That's why you have suggested. Is it really worth fighting over a few meetings to make a quid pro quo/ultimatum? If their daughter hates the meetings as much as she says, this will take care of itself. Given her age, that too will take care of this situation in a short period of time. Making it a reason to fight, in this instance and IMHO, is ill advised. Using up that much political capital in this matter is not wise, IMHO.

There are bigger issues to fight over.

I don't see the transaction in the way you do. We presented evidence and/or rational argument. You disagreed with it but failed to provide counter evidence other than your feelings and beliefs. You emotionally twisted what was said, ignoring very important points such as 'correlation.' You responded with an arrogance rarely seen on this site by telling all of us how damned smart and educated you are, making it even more annoying by telling us that in and of itself makes you better.

THAT was the first insult in this OP as far as I can see. Learn to refute evidence, provide counter evidence or remain quiet. Posturing as the smartest fukking person to ever be on this site, when you only recently joined it, will get you exactly what you deserved.

The bottom line as I see it is you came into a site where you thought your amazingness and awesomeness would rule the day. It didn't quite work out like that now, did it? Stop playing the victim. Princess.

Several if us held out olive branches to you, but playing the drama queen is all you seem intersted in doing.

Stick around. It will mean you will have to put your big boy panties on, but it's clear that's what you need.
