OneEyedJoe's comments about Apple ring true. I've done a lot of work related to the semi-conductor industry. They typically have the highest level of security in the for profit industries. And interestingly, most of the security is not designed to mitigate external threats; it is designed to mitigate internal threats and the loss of intellectual capital, etc. from walking, emailing, texting, faxing, etc. out the door.
This makes sense for these industries, as the trade secrets, etc. are their profit centers. You won't find this level of internal operational and physical security at many for profit places, and those with higher levels of security are almost always mitigating external threats. I could bore you with all of the internal process changes that the Dark Lords would need to implement to mitigate leaks, but suffice it to say that they would be enormous.
