  The French I believe have banned child beauty pageants until the age of 16. Many psychologists believe that child beauty pageants are a form of child abuse (google it), and they state that it is driven mostly by moms with achievement by proxy disorder, where the moms live through their children.

  Riddle me this, double x-ers. What kind of mom would put loads of makeup on her 6 year old, dress her in micro mini ef me skirts and heels and teach her to walk like a stripper??? Yet there are a lot of moms who get off on this stuff. I'm stunned that the fathers go along. I find it deeply disturbing, and I'm with the French and LisaRose on this.

  But there evidently is a large audience for child pageants. The two cable tv shows about child pageants had high ratings.

  Having said that, what adults do is of no consequence to me. In a perfectly egalitarian world where there was no misogyny and where we had equal pay and equal opportunities, it is a certainty that there would be beauty pageants, strippers and hookers (and thank god for that). I don't see the human species evolving those things away ever. One woman's irrelevance is another woman's opportunity.

  I probably should ignore this OP. James, are you trashing the US education system also in addition to pageants? It isn't perfect, but it is very good in many ways and it certainly isn't in the toilet.

  Uninformed opinions stated as certitudes and platitudes. Nothing better to do tonight JM?

  'Irrelevant' beauty pageants? Irrelevant to you or everyone?

  Are you the final arbiter on all things or just our education system and pageants?

  i just watched this clip on youtube....i can't begin to say how it made me feel.

  , i'm not sure who i am more annoyed about.

  the bloke doing the commentry, the punk shouting at a serious and should be respectful religious event, or some of the youtube comments that follow.. and i find this so disrespectful.

  Tony Prime, aka NinjaMaskinen, is probably a very good guy. I agree with your assessment; by the time Tony/Ninja left, we all were trying to reach out to him and find a foundation of agreement.

  However, having said that, there is so much narcissistic, look at me, youtube posting egocentric crap going on with this video and these types of disruptive activities that it makes it difficult for those of us who would support rational disobedience to give him warm fuzzies. This video, like some of what's his name Cedar or something like that, scream narcissistic look at me aren't I cute.

  These activities are disrespectful, rude, potentially harmful and may one day if they keep these things up, even deadly; they confirm what the Dark Lords tell the rank and file about ex-dubs, that we are demon possessed and mentally diseased. They firmly close the minds of the vast majority of dubs. They support the persecution complex so rampant in the cult.

  And they may be illegal. But kudos? BS.

  (see below for previous OP). The leader of the gang quickly joined the site in defense of their activities during this Memorial (of course he denied being the ring leader). He left with his tail between his legs. Someone on the site no doubt tipped him off that their antics weren't being received quite so well by the ex-dub community.

  Twenty years of Rush Limbaugh, Michael Savage and Matt Drudge? Just shoot me.

  I avoid nut jobs of any persuasion, liberal, conservative, religious, conspiracy theorists, or psychotic girls (unless they are really, really hot). Having said that, I have found it much more difficult to find left wing nut jobs; I rarely stumble across them.

  I've taught at two colleges, and my experience is vastly different. We had a few right wing nut jobs. They didn't fare well as could be expected in a collegiate environment. But I do not recall any left wing nut jobs, and the focus of both colleges was to have open minded, fair and respectful discussions about all topics. I kept my personal political and religious views to myself; I believe most of the other profs did the same.
