  WTS AND THE INTERNET

  regarding the wts and their fear of the internet.

  i just wanted to mention that the wts will probably come out with a cd-rom, something to supposedly help the jws study the bible, or some crap like that, but in reality, it will be a program to block the jws from accessing any anti-jws web site.

  i know the church of scientology did it.

  The WTS also has an "offical Public relations" Website, which I have NEVER seen it mentioned in any watchtower.
  

  They keep there members on a "need to know basis", and i suppose they feel they do not need to know this.

  Do you understand that your dedication and baptism identify you as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in association with God’s spirit-directed organization

  That's the part where you are supposed to walk out of the auditorium.

  If you "read between the lines", the question really doesn't ask about you understanding that baptism IDs you as a JW in association with the "spirit-directed" publishing corporation, but actually, you are supposed to understand the consequences with what having that identity will bring to you in your life going forward!

  i remember growing up and thinking that there was no way i would have kids ......... why ???

  ....... because i did not want to raise them the way i was raised, in the borg.

  i went through hell, why put a defenceless child through that.

  those same people are met at the door by a hard core publishing business with intimidating lawyers and reams of case law

  The kicker is, is that the WTS freely uses intimidating lawyers and rheams of case law to get its own way with the courts, however, when the courts order something, injunct, or overrule them, then they spirit children out of hospitals, hide or obfuscate records, and obstruct justice so badly it would have made Clinton seem angelic.

  After all, when the courts agree with them, then it's a theocratic "tool" they're using to sanctify "Jehovah's name", if the courts rule against them, then it's Satan's old worldly "system of things" conspiring against them.

  Perhaps a slut virgin in bed is better than 72 virgins in the Bush.

  I was just sitting here thinking..."I wonder what they would do if I put this disk (with the New World Translation on it) into a lap-top and sat there in a meeting following along with the discussion, and reading the 'bible' on my computer?"

  Actually, it's funny you mention that, I used to do the same thing! I was a real geek, once, and for a few months, I had a laptop at all meetings, complete with WT CD-Rom and printouts, etc. and I usually ran it for the whole meeting (with the sound turned off) looking stuff up while the speaker was yacking. I had the NWT and all the pubs being used for the different meeting parts in their own windows, all the while reading from the screen on the empty seat beside me.

  Apparently, some elder or publisher thought I was being too "thorough" or "zealous", and elders asked me to cease using my laptop computer at the meetings, claiming that it was "distracting" from me getting the "spiritual value" out of the meetings! Ha! It was shortly after that I left, and now I use the internet to drown them in their own words!
