Technically, every "publisher" in the congregation is a de facto "ordained minister" upon baptism, and, therefore that same reporting standard should apply to every baptized Witness in the congregation.

Do you wish you could like them, but you can't?

does there come a time, when you would like to be at peace with the jehovah witnesses, and try to forget what they done to you, but then all of a sudden you remember the way they treated you, and then you start to get angry again at them?

does this happen to you?

What I really dislike about them is the systemic problems from the "top" so to speak. When reading Ray Franz' books, it came quite apparent to me how much that absolute power corrupts absolutely, if I can borrow the expression. The GB beaurocracy mixed in with simple Christianity is an unwieldy beast indeed. It is not dissimilar to mixing church and state.

And going back further and further into history, into Russell's days, the roots are quite rotten, and mixed with very strange teachings.

Fifth Estate - FTP Sites Needed for Hosting...

i've taken the liberty to send simon the low-bandwidth version of the file, which he has kindly hosted.

if anybody wishes to host them, i have two more files, one 55 megs and the other 156 megs, which are of increasingly levels of quality, it would be a great help to those who wand "broadband" video quality.

if any have suggestions for good (or cheap), or even temporary ftp sites to use, please post them here on this thread.

this ill kitty kat was in the hospital wednesday and completely forgot about the program on 5th estate and i didn't know about the re run on the thursday.

to much pain and tramatized about hospital.

would someone have made a spare copy or know of how i may obtain a copy of the documentary.

if anyone has a decent copy of the fifth estate program i would be most grateful for a copy.

a datafile (any format) via ftp or kazaa would be great!

its my understanding that at least one poster has already capatured it and had it up on kazaa but i missed it.

Ok, I have a compromise "tweenie" file: about 45 megs or so, triple the "dialup" one that I gave Simon...If anyone has ftp ready I can send it to them, or they can search for it on Kazaa. Note on Kazaa: make sure your search is set for "all" and "everything" and type "Fifth Estate" into the search box. This is the way a few are getting success. I've uploaded it to my Kazaa folder now. It's called Fifth Estate - Medium Bandwidth Version.

The USA and the 'Divine Mandate'

having had a bizzare (for a european) preoccupation with american history in the 19th c, i do find that current american foreign policy still has implict in it the religiously inspired rationale that enabled americans to seriously claim that the ethnic cleansing of the west, and the genocidal behaviours that this often entailed, was because god wanted them to do it.. from certain newspaper articles i've read it seems as if some of those in the white house believe that bush getting in despite not having the majority of the popular vote was a sign, and that 9/11 backed up their belief that bush was a man put in a certain place for a certain time and role.

that bible studies are a regular expected activity of white house staffers.. now, this makes me very nervous.

i prefer my religious fanatics to come from developing countries that may have weapons of mass destruction, rather than from the most powerful millitary country in the world with more weapons of mass destruction than the rest of the world put together.. obviously just because it was in a newspaper doesn't mean it's true (yesterday's guardian i think).. but what do you think?.

The Bushes "Shrubs" are charter members of Yale's Skull and Bones Society, as proven through Alexandra Robbins' book.

That's all we need, more Bonesmen running the US. Don't forget that the Bonesmen were established through the Russell bloodline. That explains quite well as it meshes with Charles Taze Russell's Zionist and Masonic leanings. So, you could fairly conclude that there are at least some similarities between the Bush family, the Skull and Bones Society, and the early Watchtower Bible and Tract Society.

I don't want to jump into this discussion against Perry, as I've had run-in with him before, and his mind is already made up. He would probably say how high if Bush said "jump". He is a fierce nationalist, and I'll leave that where it's at. I'm afraid I'm with Abaddon on this one.

W5 last night.Hour long.JW,s and child abuse

did anyone watch w5 last night on cbc at 9 pm?(canada).

it was another hour long program of child abuse vicitms and the watchtower society.. it looked very very bad .

bill bowen was on.. it was a very powerful program.. .

Vicki, you're a classy person, thank God they had you on the show. That was astounding. And since you're close to my age, you represent our age group very well! These are the ones who mostly have utilized the media and the internet today, and are the future of the WTS, but, the thing is, we are waking up to the Society's systemic root problems and are walking away...and the Society would be very worried for it's future: us!!

I grew up in a small town, too, coincidentally, not too far from Shelburne...in fact I know lots of people from Grey, Bruce, Waterloo and Wellington counties since I moved around a lot. I appreciate how one can quickly become a "pariah" in the small town were rumor and gossip quickly spread.

Once again, excellent job, and please stop by here often!!!

I still have Kazaa up, 2 files you can choose from: 13 meg file is the low bandwidth version, which is already here when Simon posted it up for us all via the streaming media link...and I have a good quality 156 meg file on Kazaa as well...I've noticed that almost a dozen people have uploaded so far from me...you can still try it...I will have it up all weekend, at least...I'm pondering whether to put an in-between quality file which is better than the streaming one here but not so large as the 156 meg one...if you want this I may do this tonight with my raw digital footage...it can be done!
