  Son is giving first talk, conflicted

  my son is still studying with the jw's and is giving his first talk this tuesday.

  he's 22 and still living in my home.

  my other two boys 12 and 15 are here as well but don't study cuz wifee knows how i feel.

  Hello Marriedtoajw:

  I like the many good points that were brought out but I especially liked Jgnat points. I don't know about this or not but when your wife goes out in service could the friends pick her up so she doesn't use the car and saves on gas for you. Could somebody pick up your family and take them to the meetings. Every little bit helps. Hey if Jehovah is suppose to be providing then if he wants her to go to the meetings then he'll find a way for her to get there won't he. As for your sons talk doesn't he know that you haven't been to the hall in years if any, so it shouldn't surprise him if you don't go. Well that's up to you if you go or not. But anyways you have a lot to think about. Good Luck, and take care.

  beverly wright walked with a cane, slowly, avoiding uneven ground on wednesday morning as she went door-to-door on north delaware avenue inviting people to an upcoming jehovah's witnesses convention.. a week ago she had what she hopes will be her last of five skin grafts to repair wounds she received march 19 when a pit bull mauled her so badly that doctors told her she might lose her leg.. wright, 43, could have escaped injury that tuesday morning when an 80-pound pit bull burst through the front door of a house in the 200 block of n. lewis place and attacked her ministry companion and longtime friend, irene parker, 78.. but it never occurred to her not to help her friend.. both women were severely injured in the attack.

  Hello Watchtowerfree:

  I was sorry to hear about the dog attack on those sisters. But what is more up setting is the WTBS is not paying for their injuries. They have a Bank set up for help from warm hearted people donating. It goes to show you how cold they really are. Not only that but they let an older feeble brother go from the WTBS who worked there for years to be booted out on his own and is trying to make ends meat, IS DOWN RIGHT COLD. They don't have a HEART so why would they pay for those sisters injuries. They were only doing what they were told to do by the WTBS. So why shouldn't they expect them to pay for their injuries, WHY BECAUSE IT"S THE RIGHT THING TO DO but they won't do it. So who really wants to work for them I can tell you for sure it's not me.

  I am so proud of you doing this video, and so are your parents and husband. I know it was hard for you to do but you did it, and it's over now so you can relax and take in all the kind words your getting. You go girl in getting a tattoo. I want to get one too. Keep up the good work your going to do for ASL I know it will pay off sooner or later because they'll talk to their friends about it. I think there's a school in Jacksonville area and there are quite a few JWS there, so GOOD LUCK to you in this new journey your taking. Who knows maybe all of us will do a video someday like was brought out on the forum. Anyways take care of yourself and my husband and I send our love your way.

  My First Birthday!!!!!

  my birthday isn't until the end of july but yesterday i got my first birthday gift in the mail.

  my best friend (stubborn disbeliever) sent me my gift early.

  i know what it is, but seeing it all wrapped up and knowing on my birthday i can open it...it really struck a cord with me.

  My mother passed away this morning...

  for any old-school ex-jws here that remember my many posts about my abusive jw mother and my sister committing suicide because of it...she passed away this morning because she began to bleed out and refused a transfusion.

  she had been in the hospital for a month.

  it appears she suffered a stroke and wasn't found by the brothers & sisters for three days (they missed her at the meetings).

  Depression & natural ways to deal with it

  i was on prozac for about 10 years, and finally went off all meds about 18 months ago.

  the prozac was causing me to have manic episodes, so they added a bipolar medicine as well as a sleep aid, and the bipolar medicine made me dizzy & nauseaus.

  so now i work really hard at exercising regularly, i take a lot of natural supplements including natural lithium & megadoses of omega upon advice of a homeopathic doctor.

  Hello:

  I don't have bipolar, but I have gone through depression. It was so bad that my husband wanted me to talk to a therapist. I told him

  it wasn't in my head I felt like it was physical. Well we changed our diet by eating real healthy. And boy what a change for the better.

  I got off sugar and used stevia instead. Got off white flour which isn't good for you anyways. And I switched to brown rice instead of

  white rice. What a difference in how you feel. We eat more fruits and vegetables now. Since I tend to lean towards depression someone

  told me I needed more B vitamins and that helped out alot. And of course what helped the most was my leaving the organization because

  now I don't live the lie anymore. Thank goodness. My husband and I send our love your way and hope you find a solution.
