since i've been a child my mother has studied on and off with jw's ( i'm now 34) so i've been around it most of my life, i studied on and off myself for around 10 years.
thank's to this site and jwfacts i'll never study or step foot inside a kingdom hall again.

Great letter you wrote. I don't think it was to harsh. You got right to the point. Hey your mom has been taken in by hook line and sinker. Well what if you copied some things off the internet that you read, but cut off the name of the site you got it off of, and leave it in the bathroom. She'll read it. Leave it a certain way in the bathroom so you can tell if she read it. People in general are nosey so she might read it. Good Luck in your journey with your mom.

I'm a newbie, so i can understand what your going through. It can be difficult at times to even face the friends after knowing the truth about the WTBTS. Be careful in whom you speak to because if they suspect your going to leave they could get the word out and you'll be booted from the organization. Ones that you think you are close to can turn on you. So be prepared if this happens. Are you still young and live at home with your parents. Do you have a job to sustain yourself for if and when you do leave. Things to think about very carefully. My husband and I send our love your way, and take care of yourself.

i cant believe how blissfully un-aware the local dubbies are about where the money has gone and what it is been used for.

The Society is very smart when it comes to money. I think they have thousands of corporations so they probably spread out the money to these areas. In the countries where their getting sued they are probably crying poor mouth to their attorneys that they don't have any money. What big fat liars they are. So this is probably where it's going to.

I'm a newbie to. It's only been 8 months since I left and it feels great. No more boring meetings, no more service, no more studying unless I want to go on JWN or JWSurvey and a few other sites. I guess you probably got use to not seeing your parents or talking to them by now. So it probably won't hurt as much if it comes to an end for you. the drama continues, i log on to facebook this morning and notice that i have about 20 some odd personal messages from people calling me an apostate to they will return to me when i return to jehovah.. all of this based upon my brother informing others that i have "apostate thoughts".
my mother also encourage long-time famil friends to "unfriend" me because i have taken my stand on the side of satan... wow.
don't you just love this international brotherhood.

Look at all the friends you have on the message that you put out. A lot of these people don't know you personally, but they know you by your comments. And they don't criticize you for what you do, they love you for who you are. A truly caring and loving person that loves his family. I'm sorry to hear what happened to you, and I know your thankful you have your wife by your side right now when this is happening to the both of you. It was brought out already that you should get a job if you haven't already, because you will be cut off from your family. You'll need a place to go when your kicked out. So start planning to break free. Your parents will probably cut off your college fund so be prepared for that too. It will cost some to get a place and turn on the electric or gas and phone. You'll need furniture and a washer and dryer. So it's alot to think about. Just be prepared. And you might want to start making friends with those that go to school with you, because you'll need to make new friends too. It's a whole different life but well worth it once you break free of the lies being taught by the WTBTS. But remember were here for you when you need someone to talk to. So you take care and prepare well for your future.

i remember being in high school hoping i would make it to see graduation sometimes even praying for it as i could feel the end was near.
but i graduated leaving behind prospects for school because i knew i needed to work hard in service to prove i deserved the real life.
i heard a talk at a convention that nearly guaranteed this system would be wrapping up soon and it scalded my mind with assurance that i was not sacrificing for anything.. i remember in the keynote address the speaker said we would only be back for another convention if god wanted.

when i was in it, especially as a young person, it was rules oriented but not like it is now.
to me, the religion is a lot more fanatical than ever before....what do you think?

Boy things have changed since the 80's. And what was said the noose is getting tighter. Why, because their getting found out about all the lies they've told. Since I was baptized they have changed the meaning of so many beliefs it's hard to keep up with them all. Phizzy's right they changed the beliefs several times, and I mean several times.

They are not mental, they know exactly what their doing. They are very good at what they do LIE. Lies after lies you have to have your head on to be able to tell all those lies. Their interest is keeping things going. Why, so they can have the things they have such as insurance, cars, a place to live and food. Who could ask for more. Oh yeah and money, all the money they want is theirs. So they can't be mental to have all that at hand.
