i think my mother has lost it.
i really do and i am in fear that she is literally losing touch with reality to some degree.. even my father is telling me that her responses to me are growing weirded:.
the scriptures tell us that we can be wrathful.......but don't sin.

Sorry to hear what your going through. Your poor mom is so obsessed with the organization it's really sad. Sad that you have to put up with it. no fs and sunday meeting!
every weekend i feel a huge relief and both hubby and i always look at each other and say "it's great not having to go to meeting huh?".

hello, first let me apologixe for both my spelling and my grammer in advance, both are not my strong points.. i'll keep this short.
since i've been a child my mother has studied on and off with jw's ( i'm now 34) so i've been around it most of my life, i studied on and off myself for around 10 years.
thank's to this site and jwfacts i'll never study or step foot inside a kingdom hall again.

I just mentioned to someone else about the March 15th 2012 page 20 paragraph 2 which states " The other shheep should NEVER forget that their salvation depends on their active support of Christs annointed brothers still on the earth." This got under my skin. Who do they think they are to want to take Christs place. I thought our salvation comes through Jesus through God not the annointed. So maybe you could dig up that article and bring that out to her. And another point that someone brought out to you is how can anyone believe but not go to the meetings, field service, or for that matter not even get baptized. Maybe because deep down inside she knows theres something wrong. Only she knows for sure. Maybe you can question her on this. Good Luck on this matter.

All the lies they teach are finally being uncovered by sites like JWFacts and even on JWN. So if you don't know the whole story you will soon get it . So get ready for the ride of your life. the gb claim, and rf jws believe that they can't understand the bible without help from the gb.

You see God the true God can't and won't lie. So why would he use these men to represent him. You see if God says it once then it should come true shouldn't it? So we need to stop pretending that they have the truth when they tell the LIES to us .

My husband and I are white, and one time he gave a talk in an all black congregation. We felt a little out of place. Were not prejidice but I think some of them might of been. I could imagine how some black feel when their the only one in the congregation that's black, it must feel a little awkward at first. We should be excepted to embrace all people of all races, it shouldn't make a difference, right? But that's not the case all the time as it was for my husband and I. Everybody should be taught that they put their pants on the same way we do. Their blood is the same color as mine. Maybe someday we'll finally be treated equal, like were suppose to be. So keep up the good work and don't show prejidice to anyone because your the better person for doing so. Take care.

my name may be a bit premature...because i'm actually still active within the org, but i guess you could say i've already "left" in my heart.
i'm just scared to take the first steps, because i don't know any "ex's" in my neck of the woods, and i'm very scared of loosing my family.

prior to that we had been in a new congregation for about 9 months, and we were just irregular.
my husband rarely went, and i would go occasionally with our toddler son just enough to show our faces and keep the elders off our backs, and for the sake of some friendships in our old hall.
all of the reasons i had for going were just no longer important.

Glad you broke free and I'm sorry for what your going through. The best advice given is don't talk bad about the WTBTS in front of the kids because they'll see the difference for themselves. Just be as loving as you can, because it will all come out in the wash. With your kids you can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink. Well that's how the saying goes, and they'll believe what they want to, so bare with them their only doing what they were taught, it's not their fault. So you take care of yourself and press on to your new life.

i thought it was fitting for me to share my freedom from the witnesses story on independence day weekend.. i dont have any secret info, just experiences that happened to me and started to open my eyes.. i was a third generation, raised in the truth kid who was never supposed to be born, and then never supposed to graduate high school.
ive now been out of high school longer than i was in school.. the beginning of the end started a little less than a decade ago.
i was late 20s at the time.

I'm so proud of you to finally make the break from the WTBTS. Your finally FREE. I'm glad you got back with your brother and his family. Did he leave because he had some questions about the org. that weren't sitting right with him. Glad that you still have some form of contact with your parents. Maybe someday in the near future you will be surprised to see your parents leave the organization too. Wish you the best in your new journey your about to take.
