He even speaks to me when I listen closely enough.
Oh, maybe that's how. Well, this is big news! What does God sound like? Does He speak English? Does He have a Hebrew accent? And why do you need to listen so intently? I thought God was supposed to have a big, thunderous voice -- now you're telling me He's whispering? What's up with that?

Well, I always thought God wasn't much of a "people person" since he's butchering so many Canaanites in the Old Testament. And doesn't his Book talk about some future apocalypse or something? Hmmm....

this quote got me thinking:if you pray sincerely and admit you are a sinner and accept christ as your savior you can have the holy spirit come into your life.. .

i used to do this everyday.

when i was being abused, i used to pray incessantly for god to help me.

I find it a tad curious that you are asking the board if they are theists or atheists...yet....you refuse to get involved or state an opinion yourself! Why? Just go with the flow. No one is going to come over to your apartment and chop off your penis or anything. Debate. Learn. It's healthy.

The Bible is noted for its historical accuracy, and not just by JWs. I live in Kansas, and I've heard they have found shark bones around here. That means at one time, it had to be underwater(Noah's flood).

God must have limits. Could He make a three-sided square? No. He would need to be bound by logical necessity. If a Supreme Deity does exist limitiations would in no way detract from the fact He is supreme.

What is the smallest distance you can travel?
That would be a quantum leap. That is when an electron makes the leap from a larger orbit to a smaller one. That is, be definition, the shortest distance that can be traveled. Kind of ironic if you think about it since the phrase "quantum leap" has worked its way into our lexicon as being a great leap forward.
But, wouldn't this "quantum leap" be able to be cut into half? And that half cut into half? And that half....ad infinitum ? I don't know if it is possible to say there is any "smallest distance you can travel." Bradley
