I wonder at what point the COs experiments with truth will include early morning meditation.
I don't think many Catholics would accept your interpretation of the Trinity, but then I don't suppose that's what you were going for.
this is the first message from the co:.
"william claire menninger, a co-founder of the menninger foundation in topeka, kansas, wrote 13 symptoms of mental illness.
one of them is: the attitude that i am always right and others always wrong.

i've been out the organisation for around 8 years.
when i first left, im positive that i suffered from some sort of post traumatic stress.
i was very angry at myself for accepting the really bad parts of the religion that i strongly disagreed with.
Why not start praying again? You haven't got anything to lose.
i have some potentially controversial questions.. i have always wondered about these things in the back of my mind, but i would immediately dismiss them.
now i am giving myself permission to explore them further.... a lot of attention is given to how big the sacrifice was on the part of jesus and god when jesus laid down his life.
as the story goes, jesus gave his life for our sins and then was miraculously raised back to life a couple of days later.. consider this.
JWs do serve God for what they get out of it. Why go door to door if there's no paradise? I don't understand why this is considered a bad thing. It seems quite reasonable given the circumstances.
in honour of this personal landmark i have decided to choose my personal top 5 threads i am pleased to have posted.. 1. jehovah's witnesses view of jesus compared to the early church.
2. soldiers of jah.
3. the current state of the watchtower & the cynicism of soviet communism.
It's great to have you here challenging me. I hope you reach 10,000 more. :)
i was surprised to learn many other mainstream christian religions believe in a physical earthly resurrection.
even catholics.
it seems the belief is that as of now one goes to heaven to wait, then in the future will have an earthly resurrection.
Yep, plenty of Christians who don't believe in a Hell either, but the Watchtower will lie to you about that as well.
the 2013 edition of the new world translation renders 2 kings 17:1 as:.
in the 12th year of king ahaz of judah, hoshea the son of elah became king over israel in samaria; he ruled for nine years.. this is in fact a better rendering than the previous nwt, which stated:.
in the twelfth year of ahaz the king of judah, hoshea the son of elah became king in samaria over israel for nine years.. despite their improved rendering, the watch tower society still claims that hoshea's reign 'really' began in 758 bce, but that it was 'established' in the 12th year of ahaz.
You were right. I have become a victime of a scam.
Don't worry Neil, we're all victims here.
in an interview in the guardian newspaper's "guide" magazine he is asked about his upbringing with the question "terrible but character building?
" luke replies,.
"well, i'm still here and still smiling.
Awesome. I wish I'd left at 16!
Can't wait to see this film. :)
as time goes forward people tend to change... expecially if you get out of a cult.
your brain for some reason gets de- and reprogrammed and you get other insights and new opinions.
you become a other human.. when reading back some of my previous posts (of about a year ago) i could not help but have a wtf-moment... i even felt a sudden way of "shame" of all the bullshit i was writing.. if you want to read some of mine just check my posts of about a year back.
I've only been here 6 months and I do this now.
i was chatting today in the sauna, as one does if you don't go to meetings about dining out.
one pleasant fellow said he would never return food, he explained it was because he is convinced the staff would do something to the food.. do you agree?.
kate xx.
I never complain and never return food. Actually I'm a bit paranoid about this so if someone on my table complains during dinner I can't order dessert in case they decide to punish the whole table.

607v587.com is a good site for looking at both views as it provides the Watchtower answers to the critics questions.
