i don't want hate in our hearts - jw are wrong oh so wrong - and i want to blame this religion for making me cold and distant to the world.

Why Armageddon Now?
by Garrett ini've been thinking and here's what i've come up with.
correct me if i'm wrong, but in the bible does it not state that the word would have to be preached throughout the entire inhabited earth for a witness to all people and then the end would come?.
with the world being as vast as it is today, it would be practically impossible for the witnesses to speak to everyone in the world.

With the world being as vast as it is today, it would be practically IMPOSSIBLE for the witnesses to speak to EVERYONE in the world. So, why wouldn't God have ended the world hundreds or even thousands of years ago when the world was much smaller and when civilization wasn't as far-spread as it is today? Why wait until now... it doesn't make any sense to me.
Thoughts?

Hello everyone :)
So, first off, after my learning TTATT I've been feeling SO MUCH better! My depression is gone, I'm so much more motivated, I can do everything I've always wanted to do but was forbidden from doing.
Now, my best friend is still in, however, I feel that he may have a chance at waking up. You see, back when I was still a witness, we used to talk and used to discuss all the issues we had with our congregation. He's 37 I believe and quite open-minded. I feel bad because when I left, I decided to not speak to anyone, so I ignored his phone calls and text messages.
I feel like when I'm ready, I'm going to email him and try my best to help him wake up. I don't care if he doesn't, ends up going to the elders and tells them I'm an apostate, but I need to try. Does anyone have any articles similar to the child sex coverups, caleb videos, witnessing cart, etc that I could share?
Perhaps some tips on how to go about doing this?

Are we going to see a mass awakening?
by kairos inthe internet is the archive for civilization.. watchtower cannot hide it's history.. are we seeing the beginning of a mass exodus out of her?.

This won't change anything. Remember that witnesses are to immediately turn away from anything that brings bad light on the organization. So, those "good" witnesses will never see this program.
And what about those outside of the US? They'll never even hear about this.

New Caleb video uses fearmongering on children
by Jonathan Drake incheck it out.
literally the message is if you don't pay attention at the meetings you could die.
how insane, i feel like this must wake some people up..

So sad :/ I'm still at the phase where I'm shocked that I ever believed this crap. How would a loving God KILL a child if they didn't pay attention at 1 meeting. So terrible :/ I feel bad for all who have to go through that. -

I Thought we had Friends!
by Kelley959 ini am a life long jw, but this issue i'm going through has taken the cake.. i am in a job situation that is not good.
and we were promised to us in our old hall that we would have a roof over our head for us an our animals.
so i gave notice on thursday then went to call by so-called jw friends and they backed out and claimed he now couldn't let us move in and broke the deal.

I am so sorry that you're going through this :-(
I so understand how you feel. Personally, the last straw for me was when elders ignored me when I reached out to them for help when I had severe depression. I too felt the exact same way when all my friends left me. Like doc said, love is easy to give when it's got nothing tied to it, however, it's a different story when one has to put in something to help.
I suggest you look outside of the hall for help. Can you qualify for governmental help? I remember when I lived in the US, my family would receive help from the government in helping pay for rent, food, etc. Any family willing to help?
Also, I completely understand how you feel about your "children," I feel the same way about my cats. I wish you the best and hope you get everything sorted. Make sure to keep us in the loop and let us know if you need any help/advice on what you can do :)
Peace,
Garret

If you are single and have married friends, . . .
by compound complex inis your sense of loneliness (if you are lonely) heightened when you see what they share?
how do cope (if you are coping) with a sense of isolation, of not having a significant other?.
i know some single persons who are very happy as they are.

Personally, I'm happy as is Mainly because being single is my choice. I've had the opportunity to have a relationship, but currently at this time in my life, I need to stay single and focus on myself. So, being around married couples doesn't really bother me. I don't really feel lonely :P
