jehovas' witnesses are an interesting group.

they enjoy the freedoms and liberties that they receive by living in the united states, but at the same time they refuse to partake in voting, national celebrations and have basically created their own nation within a nation.

i find it hypocritical for them to act in this manner and believe that they should gather from around the world and all go and live together on some island.

Thanx, IW. I know you mean well by telling me that it's best to just leave pronto. And believe me when I say that I will leave after I send this reply. I won't come back here again because everytime I read these other replies it just upsets me and I'd rather not put myself through that. As for TeeJay, well I don't know what to say to you, lol. Sorry. The only thing I can think of to say right now is that if I was to change someone's mind on this site it wouldn't be the first time that I open someone's eyes up to a different way of living. I like my life the way it is and if you do too then I'm happy for all of you. I mean no harm or disrespect. Although I am young, I think you all should know that I do have common sense and a lot of respect for anyone I come into contact with. No matter who you are I will respect you, regardless if you're the exact opposite of me. I am young but it doesn't mean that I don't know anything about life and how to make good decisions. It all depends on how well you were brought up. I have to say my parents did a good job at raising me. Once again, thanx IW for pointing me towards the door. I hope you all have a good day and I wish the best for all of you. This deffinately was a wierd experience but at least next time I'll know not to go as far as I went this time.

Well, you know, I feel as though many of you are ganging up on me and trying to change my mind about my religion. To be honest, I never in a million years would give up what I believe in because of pressure or because I agreed with other people that this religion is wrong. Because i don't agree with any of you. I don't hate my religion...I love it. I have found happiness being in this organization, and that's really all that matters. And just to let you know I am 18 years old, I grew up in the truth too, my grandpa is an elder and my grandma is full time pioneer. I also have several friends who've gone to bethel. But I have been through a lot of crap in my early teen years. So much stuff has happened to me because I thought that I could do whatever I wanted and get away with it. I thought my religion was strict and unfair. But then I realized that I was VERY unhappy doing the things that I thought would make me happy. Trust me when I say that I have commited every sin known to man, except to kill a person. And I learned from all of my mistakes. But please don't assume that this religion is what pushed me to do the things I did, it wasn't because it was strict. For the most part it was because I saw what worldly people were doing and it looked fun and I wanted to do it too. SO I DID. And in the end I almost messed up my entire life, completely. I almost lost my life, I almost lost my family and friends, and I almost lost my whole future career...but most importantly I lost my friendship with GOD. It took a lot for me to change my ways and become the person I wanted and needed to be. If you're happy being in whatever religion you're in then by all means keep doing what you're doing. Because I'm happy being who I am and I would never expect for anybody to change me. We, Jehovah's Witnesses don't try to change who people are, rather , we try to give them the hope of a better life. But if this upsets you then stick to what you know because we're not forcing anybody to change themselves. And, yes, voting, and tatoos, and piercings, and getting drunk, and having sex before marriage are all a conscience decision. It's up to you, whatever you wanna do. But doing those things means losing a friendship with God because he doesn't approve of those things. Right now I'm only doing what God asks of me...."spread the truth aright".

If I come into contact with people who just don't want to listen to me then I won't push it. But it seems to me that everyone here wants me to come back and keep posting these messages because you keep posting replies to my messages knowing good and well that I'll just come back and try to explain things. I cannot and will not give up an oppurtunity like this. If no one here wants to hear what I have to say then PLEASE let me know and I'll never come back here again. The only reason I came here, like I said before, is because I was looking for something personal and I stumbled onto this site. I wasn't looking for a way out and I wasn't looking for trouble. I was looking for the actual JW web site, not just some message board website about JW's. So please excuse me if I've caused any kind of commotion here. I think the best thing for me to do right now like one of you said is to just ignore this site because it's not right being here. There are too many non-believers who are dissing on JW's and I cannot try to convince all of you at once. One person can't do this alone. Jesus could've done it because he was perfect but I am not. Please just repsond to this so I know if any of you are interested in getting more answers. And if so then please leave me your e-mail address and I would more than happy to answer any kind of questions that you might have about JW's. But I just don't want anyone e-mailing me if you're gonna disagree with everything that I try to explain. I would appreciate it if you could listen to me as I have done for you.

Well, I am on this sight because I was looking for something personal but then I saw all the things that are being said about JW's and I had to stick up for them. I don't appreciate it when people judge other people or even a religion just because it doesn't fit into their schedule or lifestyle. You shouldn't have to make time for God, it should already be part of your day and not be a drag. He created everything on this earth, why not just appreciate it and stop nagging about what we don't have? Just appreciate the things and the life that you were blessed with. Because of God, we are alive and breathing. And the only thing he asked of us was that we all get along and live in harmony. He asked that we follow in Jesus' footsteps...why question it? Why not just do it? How would you like it if you raised a dog from infancy to old age and his "young" years was disobedient and rebellious because all the other dogs were? What ifhe didn't want to listen to you and always bit you and barked at you? Would it hurt your feelings? Would it break your heart to know that you provided for this creature and raised him and loved him for years and years, and then it didn't even matter to him? After all that you did for him, and he shows no appreciation. He shows no love and question all that you ask of him. WOULD THAT BREAK YOUR HEART? All I'm saying is that God isn't someone you should question because he is so much more powerful than you can imagine. And to put him to the test and question his authority is like asking him to get rid of you at armagedon. More than anything else you should just be focusing on how good you look in God's eyes right now. But you shouldn't do it just so you can get something in return, that's no what it's all about. You should do it because you love God and you have faith in him and you want what's best for yourself and everyone else in this world. Cause to tell you the truth...I want what's best for everyone in this world. Even if I don't know you, or maybe I do know you and if you hated me with a passion...I still would never wish anything bad upon anyone. I love all human-kind but I admit that it upsets me when people can't seem to understand that God is not just another person who you can hurt and move on with your life. YOUR LIFE IS IN HIS HANDS! Respect him and love him and pray to him everyday. I'm not telling you to do it...I'm asking you and begging you to just give it a chance. What's the worst that can happen if you end up loving God for the right reasons?

You know, anyone who is as judgemental as you are about religion has got be pshycotic.You obviously

 don't know anything about JW's or else you would know that they don't hate sports. It's just too

time-consuming, and it involves having to associate with people who have no moral standards.

JW's try to keep away from people who could corrupt them. If what you want is to live now and have

sex and do drugs, and smoke, and drink then by all means DO IT. But you can't expect that God will

 see you as good person. God only wants everyone to follow in Jesus' footsteps... so ask yourself

 these questions....did Jesus smoke? Did he have sex? Did he drink excesively? Did he judge people

 right off the bat, the way that you're doing now? Did he cuss? Did he live with a woman without

being married to her? Did he laugh and make fun of people just to be cool? Did he hate people? If

 you can't answer those questions, then you really don't know anything about God and his son Jesus

 Christ. You really should seek counseling cause it seems to me that you spend your time judgin

and hating people who actually know a thing or two about life and love. That's not healthy! Why

don't you just focus on your own life and stop saying stupid things about people you don't even

"know"?! It's not right. Where do think life is ever gonna get you if all you do hate people and

judge them? I'll let your mind ponder that subject. When you get your answer then let me know if

the things you said were down-right rude or "in the right mind".
