bad songs

i was reading a post that reminded me of the songs that were popular but was wrong to listen to for various reasons.. we all remember puff the magic dragon being about drugs, which i hear was just a rumour.. another i remember was let it be by the beatles, which was " catholic based about mary the mother of jesus" when apparently it was written about paul mccartney's own mother.
shows what they know.. which songs do you remember that were "bad" that we were not supposed to listen to?

I was good at being sneaky when I was a teen so I had copies of the all the nastiest music out therePrince, Beastie Boys, Dead Kennedys, you name it!
When we went in field service after school my friends and I used to play Sir Mix a Lot's "Bittermilk Biscuits" and when we had sleep-overs we would listen to 2 Live Crew! We were BAAAAAAD!

Need help putting username photo up!!!
by more2C inbeing the computer illiterate that i am, i would appreciate any help, putting my photo up.
i registered with strike9.com, but don't know how to get my photo from a digital camera onto the jw site, with the correct size and everything.
since strike9 doesn't have a help section maybe someone could explain to me how it all works.. can anyone help me, please?

If the pic is in your My Computer files then all you have to do is go to your profile and click on Browse... As long as you know your path file it shouldn't be too hard. Just follow the path and instructions and upload. If I can figure it out anyone can

Circuit assembly today.
by apocalypse inwe just got back from our circuit assembly.
in the final discussion, the district overseer went on about 'not having anything to do with organizations or any part or branches of organizations that would have objectives contrary to kingdom interests.
it was quite obvious to those in the know, that he was talking about the united nations scandal.

Awwww! I'm so sorry you had to sit through that drivel. My parents talked me into going to a convention several years after I had left. I think that was the final straw for me. Listening to the hypocrisy made me physically ill. All the happy little stepford wives and stepford children. BLECH!!! I hope the rest of your day goes better apocalypse

by Francois ini'm sure you've heard tom daschel, al gore, richard gephardt and other prominent democrats wheezing and moaning about talk radio.
you can bet your boots that within the next 12 to 14 months, the democrat party is going to attempt to reinact some form of the old "fairness doctrine" which said that if you allowed one political point of view to be aired on your radio or tv station, that you had to provide equal time for the expression of the opposing point of view.
i was employed in the radio/tv bidness during the years of the "fairness doctrine" and i can tell you the objective was never fairness.

Larc, that's awesome! I like when people question the leaders of their party instead of blindly following them. That would be reason number one on the why I am an independant list. I think everyone should research issues and then come to their own conclusion. I can't stand when people just accept what they are told. I guess this would also be reason number one on the why I left the witnesses list also...LOL

I am much more frightened of the Bush administration, it's tactics, and policies than I will ever be of the Democrats, who have lately been walking around like a bunch of neutered puppies.

And by the way Karl Marx and Friedfrich Engels masterpiece "The Communist Manifesto" is a one of the great works of philosophy in my opinion. However, as with any philosophy, humans are very good at manipulating and twisting it to suit their needs..kinda like the Bush administrations philosophy of democracy

Hmmm...
Cause I am fascinated by ancient civilizations. The Aztecs have been my personal favorite for a long time. I also read a book called Aztec by Gary Jennings and it floored me with it's descriptions of both the beauty and horror of their culture. That's me: both beautiful and horrible!
