  Can I just say I feel like puking now?

  I've been through this stupid sh!t and nothing they say can prepare you for going through it. When it is happening you aren't thinking "What will Jehovah think of me?" You ARE thinking "Don't kill me!"

  And don't even go into the third degree you get when you show up for the JC having just had a child...

  Hey Ruby,

  I make mine real simple:

  I ham

  I stick of butter (not margarine)

  enough brown sugar to melt in butter and be kinda thick

  lots of cloves (the more the better)

  pinapple rings

  optional: those weird cherries

  melt butter, add brown sugar, pour on ham, put pineapple rings all over and secure with gobs of cloves, bake at around 365 until it looks done and is kinda brown, eat, say YUM!

  What Did You Hate About The Circuit OV.'s Visit?

  i think that there a number of things about the circuit overseer's visit that stinks!

  one thing that i hated was how all the elders got together to "shepherd" the flock right before the co's visit.....what bothered you about the week long visit??

  We did alot of extra cleaning of the hall. I can still smell the Lysol!

  That and the extra field service and meetings. Didn't we go enough already? My grandpa was the PO of the cong and so I got to hang out with every one of them. Fun fun fun; espescially when you're a little kid...

  Who likes winter?

  well, today is the first day of winter.

  winter here in canada is cold and long.

  we have about 4 to 5 months of damn snow every year.

  GRRRR! I hate winter! Short days and man is it cold! Fortunatly in SE Michigan it is kinda on the mild side but still...

  I love fall! Football and Hockey are just starting up. The leaves are beautiful. Everything smells so good...I get to bake.

  Americans more religious than others

  here's an article based on a poll taken.

  what is it about americans that makes them so reliant on religious organizations?

  notice the wording of the poll -- asking if religion (and not spirituality or god) was important to them.

  I have no statistics to back me up on this so please don't bust me over this but, from what I've read there is an interesting correlation between education (or lack thereof) and religious zeal. Notice I did not say spirituality, I said religion. Not that Americans are all stupid, I'm American. However from what I have read about our scores on basic tests compared to other Western countries we are way behind.
