I have spent hours studying a single apple. Besides it's inner minty glow of life, it is clothed in greens and oranges, reds and purples. Sunlight adds dazzle, deep shade gives depth. And not a single apple is perfectly round.

well, more than a few people on this site and elsewhere know about this already...i managed to land a job in brisbane, australia.
i'll probably arrive there before the 5th of january.. this means that i won't be able to post very much for the forseeable future, but i'm still holding my supreme post in reserve for something new i've been writing recently.... i'm going to go and work for pandemic studios (www.pandemicstudios.com).
mostly i just wanted to thank all the amazing australian people who've been helping me out with information and things during the past couple of weeks - you guys rock!

my brother turned 21 on september 24th, a month later the doctor told him that his leukimia had returned and he had a 10% chance of surviving.
ten days before he died he spent four days at my house.
he had already made up his mind that he wasnt going to take blood.
Doodle, there is definatly a strong familial resemblance with your brother. Thank you for sharing the picture. I have to agree with those who said that your brother was brave to stick with his convictions in the face of his illness. At my grandfathers memorial service the speaker said that he believed right up until the end. That was strangely comforting to me. I realize that was probably one of his true comforts as he suffered through an extreme amount of pain; the conviction that he was doing what was right.
There is definatly a finesse about timing how and what you say to your JW parents. Right now is obviously not the right time to get into too much as it would probably do more harm than good. It's great that you've held your tongue so well. I would struggle to do the same.
Like everyone else said, we're here to listen if you need to talk. It's wonderful that your husband is so supportive of you. You are obviously a special person and so is he.

I would say most people are not stupid. Apathetic yes but, stupid, no. However, I think apathy is far worse than ignorance.
Brummie, believe it or not Brad is actually a very sweet guy with a tough facade. That's one of the problems with the internet; it's hard to really get to know the three dimensional person when you are only presented with one dimension. He's a very curious person which I find admirable.

i just got back from a very nice gathering here in toronto.. we (the crew to be mentioned) met up at a very nice place in west toronto.. the bar: squire & firken (good choice 68storms btw).. the folks in attendance: 68storms, iiz2cool, rayzorblade, quotes, pathofthorns and venice.. it was great!
i had a lovely time, meeting up with a couple of folks i have only heard of, and then finally met them in-person.. great company: great time!.
We're patient here Ray. I should be up visiting sooner than you think. Yay! Hope you like the chips, they're my favorites! My son and I will hopefully see you again soon. Ask Walter....

i am so bummed right now.
my sister, who is df'd, has so many medical conditions, she suffers alot.
she has recently been dignosed with fibromyalgia, and is in such extreme pain, she had to have cortisone injections into various trigger points into her neck and spine.
I want no part of your pity party, I think you know why these things are happening to you, YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW
Wow! That is very cold! How is suffering from a medical condition in any way reaping what you sow? That makes no logical sense. I'm so sorry Netty and sister. Keep your heads up!
