  Reflections (I must be tired or shumpthink)

  last week i visited brummie land and it gave me a lot to think about, in particular my jw grandmother and here is why.

  she was born in 1914 and was of the generation that was waiting for the new system to usher in paradise....she waited and waited .

  she would have been around when all the bible students were waiting for 1925 to usher in the new system.

  Brummie, I know what you mean. My grandfather was the same. I went to his memorial service out of respect to him and I still remember clear as day what the elder said. "Up to the very end he still believed." I can't express in words how hard that hit me. He died in intense pain and suffered through countless surgeries as he fought cancer over several years. I hate seeing my father following the same path but unfortunatly I do. He too will wait and waste his life in toil for a fairytale. It's sad.

  My last guess cause I am too sleepy to debate you.. the "Us" Class...?

  They are all silly and illogical to me so don't hate me for giving them all credit as the "People Who Believe Weird Things Class"

  And no I haven't been to a meeting in over 6 years and do not care to ever again so I am of the "People Who Don't Give a Sh!t Class". I am also a member of the "Beastie Boys Fan Club" and "Red Wings Yahoo Group" so I have varied interests.

  BTW What is it cause I am getting sleepy and I have to go to bed so I can go to work and provide meals for my son and put a roof over his head? Is that a class?

  i have three living children.

  one i gave up for adoption, so i never hear from him.

  my only daughter doesn't speak to me because she hated being a jw and hated me for forcing it on her.

  Don't ever say you were a rotten mother! We all do what we can for our children and do what we think is best for them at the time. My parents raised me as a witness and I don't hold any grudges against them. They truly thought they were doing what was right. Wind, you are such a sweet and caring person. You know that I hold you in very high regard and care much about you. I'm so happy that you are in contact with your son and are expecting a grandchild! Don't let the past cloud the future.
