for those of you familiar with snl, you will remember a great philosopher named jack handey.
here are my three favorites deep thoughts of all time.
share yours.
some friends sent me this picture of my daughter.
it was taken at a birthday party where they hired a makeup artist to make up the four year old girls.
this is her "after" shot.
Princess, when you are replying to a post it is the little pic of a mountain with what looks like an infinity sign over it. Uh okay it is 2 icons over from the smiley face. Hope that helps!

what turns you off and what turns you on?
any subject :).
turn on: a woman who is a lady during the day and a sweet lover at night .
Turn on: A man with a brain who isn't afraid to use it
Turn off: A closed mind

Lyin I love "Jane Eyre"! My sister and I just rented the newest movie version of it a couple of weeks ago and it was very good. It was very true to the book. I love the classics. Thomas Hardy's novel "Jude the obscure" is another favorite. A more recent favorite is "The handmaids tale" by Margaret Atwood.
So many great books out there!

hi everyone, hoping you're having a good day...i am a "newbie", posted before (re: missing my granddaughter)..well, i have been thinking long and hard, and then long and harder still and i've decided to start a suit to see if i can get grandparent visitation to see my dearly-loved "chloe" who is 6 years old.
my husband is an attorney(not chloe's grandfather) and he wants to take them on, after seeing what 2 years of being cut-off from her, has put me through.
i have an illness, and the stress of missing chloe of course makes me feel worse.
Nancy,
I really do feel badly for you. I hate situations like this. Chloe seems like such a little sweetie. I hope your daughter changes her mind. Starting a lawsuit may only make the situation worse though. Best of luck to you!

i was just thinking.
since christmas is about the birth of christ, i know dec 25 was not his birthday, probly born around late sept or early oct. i guess he wanted to be born right before the baseball playoffs and world series, just kidding.
it was the early christian church that appointed dec 25th.
hahaha enjoy Christmas at the expense of Christianity? LOL You go enjoy X-mas at the expense of numerous pagans Clash! I won't even expend myself to say what I think of your ideas. They are laughable at best...
Again I ask Should Christians celebrate the Winter Solstice?
Do you have an answer Clash? Hmmm?

Riz, I love David Sedaris. I recently read "Me talk pretty one day". He's hilarious!
Mega, "Tuesday's with Morrie" is a really good book! Mitch Albom is an excellent sportwriter. He writes for the Detroit Free Press and I have been a fan of him for years!
Books I have recently read: "Sophie's World" by Jostein Gaarder is an excellent book covering the history of philosophy.
"Night" by Elie Wiesel
"Am I a Hindu?" by Ed. Viswanathan
and I just started reading "Thus Spake Zarathustra" by Friedrich Nietzsche

I agree with Jesus. As bad as this may sound I don't believe grandparents have a right to see their grandchildren. There is a big differance between rights and privileges. Parents have a right to say who their children can and can't see. If someone who was a JW grandparent decided they want to sue to have visitation alot of people would suddenly be up in arms! Well, that is my situation. My JW parents would love to be able to take my 6 year old son and indoctrinate the hell out of him like they did me and my siblings. They have taken him to meetings and filled his head with garbage when I have allowed him to visit. All this accomplished was confusing him. It is irritating to tell your son repeatedly that no, his mother is not going to die at armageddon. For his own mental health I had to cut back on their time spent together. I have not cut them completely out of his life, just cut back on it. Grandparents are wonderful and I would hate to see anyone cut them completely out of their childs life but it is a parents decision to make. Sorry. I think it may be in the best interest of the child if you wait until she is older and able to make her own decisions. I feel for you immensly. It's a lose-lose situation for both of you.
