New Forum Layout

i suffer from depression and have also been diagnosed with asperger's syndrome, so it is not surprising that about 20 minutes ago i was feeling very depressed about the new look of my favourite ex jw forum, that is, this one.

i have been living under a rock obviously because i had no idea any change was about to happen.. now i am beginning to understand how it works, everything is ok or soon will be.

i like the like button and have already used it once.. now you understand why i left the borg.

I was also a little downhearted when I heard of the change, but I think we will all get the hang of if. Simon is an amazing person for making this site available. I will forever be grateful

Re Hostage victims killed in Sydney: "dont worry, at least they will NOW get a ressurection"

so most would now know of the vile act in sydney last week where a man held hostage over 17 people in the lindt cafe in the middle of sydney.. two people were murdered...a beautiful, educated lawyer,loving mother of three, and a brave, loving young man working as the cafe manager.. this senseless and cruel act has touched everyone deeply, especially in the communities of sydney.

the outpouring of grief and support for the victims and their families has been immense.. i was therefore outraged to have the following comment made by a witness in conversation at the kingdom hall:.

"well, we dont need to be sad, because at least now they (the two victims) will get a ressurection.

jw 's have a real warped mentality. After 9 11 , a dub said he couldn' t wait to get home to see what the death count was. The more died the more would get a resurrection. Sick!!!

i'll restrain myself from commenting on jw.org's perversion of this scripture - i'll leave that to others.. however, for lurkers and active witnesses here, why not ask one of your local glorious ones to explain how these non-scriptural words found their way into the silver sword, but don't appear in the original greek, or even in the kingdom interlinear.. (2 corinthians 9:13) "through the proof that this relief ministry gives, they glorify god because you are submissive to the good news about the christ, as you publicly declared, and because you are generous in your contribution to them and to all.".

Feeling down as Christmas nears

i don't think i've started but one or two threads before.

i find myself sitting here listening to beautiful instrumental christmas music and feeling down.. you see, i was "in" for over thirty years.

Quandry try not to beat yourself up. You did what you did with the knowledge you had at the time. As lost generation said " remember the good times you had with your parents". I am sorry you are feeling so down tonight. I hope tomorrow is a better day
