Recently there was a thread about a DO who left. I thought I would resurrect this thread for the new ones.
some long years ago a circuit overseer told me that the area he was from had several former cos that had "left the road" as they call it and were just sitting on their laurels.
he said that they don't pioneer and some were irregular publishers.
a different co made a remark to the effect of "you think that servants or pioneers live a restricted life, cos are under the supervision of the service dept.

Sorry I missed it, what was it about?
Village:
It's a segment of the child abuse situation from an investigative reporter. It was based on this article:
simons critcal fact = defendants assigned candace to perform field service with kendrick.
martinez testified that she saw candace and kendrick in field service together.
was candace ever assigned to anyone else?
@wannaexit not true.
First of all most publishers make appointments to work with eachother before the field service meeting. Second people are asked if they would like to work together. 3rd children are with their parents unless their parents and the child make an appointment with another person ahead of the field service meeting. In such a case parents agreed to let their child work with another adult.
Sorry, it may have not happened where you are at but from where I am from it most certainly happens. I understand that the issue may be a regional thing.
the tricky thing about a mass mailing to all the kingdom halls is that mail is often not delivered to the kingdom hall but to a po box.
it is super easy to get all the addresses to hundreds of kingdom halls across the country and even have those addresses printed out for you as labels!
but when i did that before i got about a third of them back.

How do they think Candace ended up working with Kendrick, anyway? Did she arrange the groups, and the service pairs?
I'ts an understood rule that when you go to a service group you work with whomever you are assigned with. I remember how i cringed when I was assigned to work with an older brother. But I did , we all did because if you didn't it showed a great lack of respect for the brother and the arrangement.
my uncle passed away two years ago at the age of 83. he served as an elder from 1965 to the last day of his life.
even till the end of his life he was still reading the bible.. he was an elder for 48 years.
never missed a meeting, pioneered during the summer months ( took vacation weeks),pioneered after retiring at 65 years old, never went on real vacation, went to all summer conventions and assemblies ( traveling to new york, wisconsin, canada and california ).. he also conducted book studies, watchtower meetings, gave sunday public talks, assembly parts, elder meetings, had a weekly book study with his family, cleaned the kingdom hall, and donated money when the congregation was short money for the month.. everyone is zealous in the beginning but tire out sooner or later.
What do you think is the reason some members of the congregation never slow down or get tired out?
I think they get tired but they don't slow down because "mother" doesn't give them permission to slow down. In this organization it doesn't matter if you are 20 or 80, you have to perform, whether you are in a wheelchair or pushing a walker you have to be on that treadmill of activity.
