  i have never but here's two i've thought of, 1) replace the liquid soap with glue 2) smear nutella everywhere in the bathroom!.

  Does this mean that they will still reside at Via della Bufalotta s or are they in the process of selling the bethel and have the work transferred to Seltzer?

  does anybody remember any thing else that was once or still is proscribed against faithful j-dubs?

  when brothers in our kh started wearing different colored shirts rather than white, it caused a great stir and ruckus.

  I was in a real conservative congregation and the sisters couldn't wear pants with the front zipper. It looked to much like men's clothing. So I had to wear a lot of pants with elastic waist. I looked like a clown.

  Letter to be read at meeting this week about the downsize

  a family member who is a bethelite informed me today that there is a letter to be read soon ( this week or next) concerning the downsizing.

  so probably someone who has their midweek meeting early in the week will be able to fill in the details.

  Retirement Planning for ex-JW's

  this is something i think about a lot, possibly because i'm just getting older.

  it seems that not only should i finally one day decide what i want to do with my life, but i should also be planning for retirement.. hands up everyone who feels their future has been royally screwed by the wts experience?.

  if you were a good jw and followed the wts advice you could well be finding yourself facing middle or even old age without much or anything put aside in retirement savings.

  Our assembly expenses were $16,900 for ONE DAY - Please share yours

  ~2300 in attendance.

  one day cost of $16,900!.

  this was at romeoville, which was built ground up in the 90's and was fully paid for by the illinois circuits!.

  In my parts, it averages about 12 dollars cn per person attending. So the last assembly I believe the cost was close to $10,000 for one day for 780 people.

  Was my dad awake?!

  i am wondering if my deceased elder father was awake?

  once we found out he was dying, i spent every moment i could with him, we were very close.

  anyway, i offered to read to him a lot when he was resting.

  Your dad was a great man-one that wasn't afraid to stand up for what he thought was right. From what you write he was as genuine as they come. I've heard "rank and file" used by witnesses but "company men?" I can't imagine anybody entrenched in this cult use that expression. Also the fact the he only wanted to listen to the Bible, would lend itself to someone who was able to see what was behind the curtain.
