Reasons for NOT Returning
by Saved_JW ini left the watchtower in the winter of 2008. my first year out was by far the most difficult.
i had every intention of returning to the watchtower for the very purpose of being able to speak with my friends and family.
i had already concluded that the teachings were not the "truth" [after reading crisis of conscience] so coming back was more emotional then anything.

Umbertoecho here.
by umbertoecho inhello people.. i'm tired and a bit sick at the moment but i can't let anyone think that this is going to go away.... i am able to tell you a few things in order to prevent any confusion in the minds of those who are thinking that nothing will come of this arc;that nothing will effect the wtbts in america and other places.. i have been there and given my testimony.
helen milroy and her assistants were there along with another group of people who are there to lend assistance if you crack up at any time during or after the hearing.
i did not crack up but can see how this happens.. security is tight and anonymity is sacred to them as they want to protect all who come forward.

Another heavy load :Literature Cart Witnessing
by RULES & REGULATIONS injehovah's witnesses standing on a street corner publicly promoting the propaganda of the governing body!another ridiculous form of "forced loyalty" to jehovah.
"dirty work" that the wtbts make witnesses go through.preaching work '' lite''.putting more heavy loads on members while the ''faithful and discreet slave'' preach from warm studios without the humiliation.
what an embarrassment!.

Is the Pioneer School being eliminated?
by wannaexit ini heard from the semi reliable source that the pioneer schools will go the way of the dodo bird next year.. i could see this happening.
it used to be that you went to the the pioneer school once.
then they allowed dubs to go every 5 years.

Nice to see that young Canadians are also waking up. I am not sure whether they are leaving in droves though. For the most part, the kids are staying because unlike decades before, it's fun right now to be a jehovah's witness. There is a freedom that I don't remember 30 years ago. Kids are traveling more (under the guise of going where the need is great). They go to parties and take advantage of the world in ways that those of the past didin't.
But definitely encouraging to hear of young ones using their critical thinking skills and looking at watchtower squarely in the face and say "this is a cult".
I am proud of this young woman. I wish I would have figured it out at her age. I could have spared myself a wasted life.

think BOHM is onto something, although I would have phrased it like this:
Perhaps some kind of online "learning"?
I was thinking the same thing. With all the emphasis on videos, I wouldn't be surprised if the training will be something online.
I went to pioneer school in the very early eighties and didin't learn a whole lot. I remember feeling a little empty after it was all said and done. The only plus was that once I got back, the congregation treated me like a celebrity.
This is one the reasons why some pioneer, so that they can go to pioneer school. I hear this all the time.
If they do end up eliminating the school, I beleive there are going to be less pioneer enrollments.

I could see this happening. It used to be that you went to the the pioneer school once. Then they allowed dubs to go every 5 years. You keep seeing the same people going to these events. It used to be 2 weeks in length , now it's down to one week. I would say there could be some truth to this rumor.
