In the beginning I was elated to find out the real "truth". Then I got really mad followed by a period of depression when I thought of all that I had missed out.
I would say that everyone that comes out of watchtower will experience a period of emotional upheaval. I compare it to the stages of mourning: denial, anger, depression and eventually acceptance.

Special Talk During the Meeting Today About the Bad Press in Canada
by RobertT18 ini was invited to a congregation in ontario, canada today and as soon as the meeting opened the brother conducting the meeting said there was a very important statement coming from the borg.
this talk replaced the two last parts of "living as a christian" section.
he started reading a letter from the borg about how much they loved us.

The sugar cube.
by The Rebel infirstly thanks to cofty & smiddy for the kind words on my " final post" .
this post is simply to say over two months have passed since my last post and since then i have with my wife and son seen elton john live, visited stockholm, berlin, and most importantly appreciated " the natural beauty of my neighbourhood" with out even thinking about the watchtower.
i have also attended 3 watford football matches with my son and made better relationships with my parents, discovered harvey's draught beer and made new friends in my local pub.

Hello Skepsis,
welcome here and hope you stay a while.
First, congratulations on "bucking the trend" and going to university. STEM has no doubt given you a well rounded knowledge but now you need to learn all there is to learn about TTAT, the religion you are associated with. You owe it to yourself to embark on an education journey of this sort.
Please don't fall for working part time to pioneer. Buck the trend again and find a full time job and don't waste more in doing the watchtower's bidding anymore. Find meaningful work in your field and live your life.
Take it from someone who sacrificed the best part of their ife at the alter of watchtower. I didin't go to school and pioneered into my thirties until I figured it out.
Hope to read more of your posts

The Santa Claus Class! 🎅
by Cold Steel inwhat we need is clarification.
when caleb approached his mother and wants to know whether, in the resurrection, he will enjoy the heavenly hope or be a part of the "great crowd.
as he looks at her with his piercing black eyes, she reminds him that jehovah can't lie.

Do you use a dictionary?
by compound complex inin my work, i rely upon google for quick answers on definition (denotation), pronunciation (audio), etymology, shades of meaning (connotation), etc.. what i really mean is, do you use an actual unabridged websters, the one you get a hernia lifting?
i ask because, last night, i was tired of fighting with my two ailing computers and decided to pull the big book off the shelf.
it was great, hearkening back to olden times -- childhood -- when i read real books and periodicals and wrote unknown words into a notepad (the paper sort) and pored over old noah's offerings.. your thoughts?.

I haven't used a print dictionary in years. Only online for this girl. My favourite is the Canadian Oxford Dictionary.

Remote Translation Offices (RTO) of Jehovah's Witnesses
by Brokeback Watchtower inwhat do you think about these things.
it seems like a monumental waste of time and money, a pipe dream of the governing body based on wishful thinking.
this corporation is going down the tubes with these asshole deluded genius's calling the financial investment shot.. buying chemical dump property around the world to build their financial empire headquarters on while facing massive child molestation lawsuits now and many more in the future means it looking kind of bleak for these messed idiots running things.. http://jw-branchoffices.blogspot.com/p/watchtower-remote-translation-offices.html.

I wonder if they will solicit funds in the congregations by setting up contributions boxes directly going to to these RTO's.
I was reading in an European ex jw forum and they were talking about letters designating funds for RTO's.
It's all about the money.

This is so sad. The religion just drives a wedge between families. It's a tragedy! But remember that your mom and dad are also victims of this horrid cult. I wouldn't cut them off completely. But then its up to you and you have to do what is good for you.
