God Loves the Lambs
by UnDisfellowshipped injesus christ and his heavenly father love the little lambs .
isaiah 40:10: behold, the lord jehovah will come as a mighty one, and his arm will rule for him: behold, his reward is with him, and his repayment before him.. isaiah 40:11: he will feed his flock like a shepherd, he will gather the lambs in his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and will gently lead those who have their young.. psalm 23:1: jehovah is my shepherd: i shall lack nothing.. psalm 23:2: he makes me lie down in green pastures.
he leads me beside still waters.. psalm 23:3: he restores my soul.

Undisfellowshiped, thanks for doing that research. I am going to save it for further reference. In all my years in the truth, I always felt that a good and deep relationship with God was so elusive. I always read the scriptures thinking that they did not really apply to me as a person. The Wt does a real number of the flock by making them feel that they are second class citizen. Only the anointed matter.
Its only in the last year that I feel my relationship with my creator is stronger than ever. The Bible has come alive because I now know that what I read is for me too. I too am a lamb of value. Thanks again.

What Makes A Person Feel Accepted In The Org.?
by minimus inin your opinion, what does it take to gain acceptance in the organization and congregation?

You are accepted only if you do more. The pioneers, ministerial servants and elders are positions that are looked upon and respected by most.

Isaiah's Prophecy- Light for all Mankind??
by joe_from_kokomo ini don't know if anyone else has posted this yet, but i must say, that the isaiah's prophecy books are the most boring drivel i have ever had to endure.
i don't know which member of the writing department or the gb wrote this 2 part set, but i have to say that it is super-duper-dull beyond words.
perhaps the author suffers from alzheimers and forgot that he wrote the same thing again and again and again... .

I agree with you. My husband and I were talking about this same thing. These two volumes of Isaiah are a nightmare. We try to avoid as many as we can.

If I knew it was wrong I wouldn't do it!
by WantTheTruth ineven after a year of thought regarding religion, and inparticular the jw faith... i am still no further forward as to whether i should go for it.. i realise that practically everyone who reads this post will be anti-jw; but i appeal to your unbias/ neutral side... if thats possible.. both sides have their own point of view... both are very convincing; i am just not sure what will "clinch the deal".. all i know is that i cannot go on like this for much longer!.
soul-destroying is an understatement!.
yours in desperation.... wtt

Want the truth,
The choice is up to you. Tread carefully before joining anything. Take your time and do more research. Easy to join something. Not so easy to get out.

Were You Depressed Because You Were A Witness?
by minimus init seems that many people here have been greatly depressed because they were or still are jehovah's witnesses.
what about you?
-

minimus, you said: YOU HAVE TO WONDER HOW MANY WITNESSES ARE ON DRUGS OR ALCOHOOL BECAUSE THEY ARE/WERE JW..
In my over 30 years in this organization, I have known many JW who drink very heavily. among these are some very prominent elders. They may not have money for necessaties, but the booze is always in their homes.

When I was a very active dub, I was depressed because I felt guilty for not doing more. When I found the "truth " about the "troof" I was depressed for having wasted my life and the lives of those I helped in. Now I am depressed because I am trapped and get out yet. I guess I am just a depressed person all around. Did someone mention Paxil?

How to succeed in field service w/o really trying
by joe_from_kokomo inah, field service .
that joy of knocking on a total stranger's doors to try to sell them on your own religious doctrines.
isn't it joyful?

Noone that I know really likes service. 99% do it because they have been brainwashed to think it pleases God. I remember a C.O. who openly admitted that he had to literally force himself to do it.
As for me and my family, we now do what you suggest. WE FAKE IT. If we go out for 1/2 hour we report 2 or 3 hours. At the end of the month we present what they want to see.

Blondie, thanks for the insight. It would be so nice not to go to the meetings. I hope I can materialize this hope in the near future. Get rid of this albatross around my neck for good.
