Jourles,
There are only a few in your list that I don't remember. I'm depressed, Did I really waste all those years???????????

notice how #29 sounds a little apostatish?
shame on them for slipping that one in.. remembering when .
.. 1. when there was a grading system on the written review to indicate how well you did.. 2. when the circuit overseer considered the "continue in the things learned.".

i knew a number of elder's wives that were nuts.
one in particular used to talk to herself regularly.
I've met a lot of jw with various mental illnesses.
well, it's memorial season and mom has been giving me the "look" this past week ever since she has decided to pioneer for february and march.
anyways, the thing is i plan on buying a new car in the next couple months.
well, i know how my mom operates.
You do what you have to do. Funny, I was thinking about pretending to pioneer this month too. Just to keep the dogs at bay. But I don't think I fake 50 hours. I would have to get out a lot more and I don't think I can stomach it.

i would say either ray franz, randall waters, danny hasgard (sorry for the bad spelling dude) or satan.
what is your opinion on that ?

Years ago my father (elder) told me that the biggest apostate in the org was Fred Franz's nephew. He was evil and tried to take over the society and was jelous because he wanted Freddy's job.
Years later these words came back to me when I read Ray's books and read correspondance he had with my husband.
I was so sad that such a wonderful man should be so maligned and slandered.

most of you have seen me post under my alias truthsetsonefree.
some call me "tsof" which is cool too.
one or two of you know me by my real name.
Sorry, but you are wasting your time. Eventually you will be forced to teach something you know to be wrong. You can't pick and choose all your talks.
I have to agree with this statement. You start picking and choosing too many times and feelers will go up and some elder on your body will want to know why.
My husband is also in and believe me eventually someone will notice that you don't tow the party line. Someone noticed that my husband was not including the faithful slave in his prayers. Imagine that.
But it is noble of you to stay in. It takes a lot of guts to stay in and tolerate all the crap.
I would like my husband to step down. I don't know how he does it.
Kudos to all of you that are still elders.

well the c.o was visiting the congregation a few weeks ago and he made an interesting comment.. he said that years ago when the society said "jump" the brothers would respond "how high?.
now when the society says "jump" the brothers ask "why"?.
this tells me that the walls of this spiritual paradise are cracking and that many are not willing to put up with all the crap that jw's of the past did.. what do you think?
Thanks to all for all your comments.
I am going to admit that in the past when the society said "jump" I jumped as high as I could.
When the pioneer hours were 100 a month, I always tried to do more. That went for everything else.
I have stopped jumping for them. This tells me that there is hope for those who give 100% to the org.
Many of my generation have stopped jumping for them too. The next generation of JW will not adhere loyally either.
My children are not as gullible as I was. This is because critical thinking is taught in the school from JK and on.
The next generation of critical thinkers will not put up with this cult and will not be as gullible as some of us were.
The next generation of Jw kids may be the society's demise.

I come here every day but I rarely post.
I wonder how many of us are spectators more than participants.
This board has been my life line. I hope it continues.

Hello,
Welcome and good for you for pursuing your goals. I wish I had enough sense to figure out this organization at 29.
