It took WEEKS before we got it right. Friends were getting up there, reading a few verses, explaining them and then going on, and so forth.
    91. Before the Proclaimers book (about our history) there was a book called "Jehovah's Witnesses in the Divine Purpose." I remember it being like a play. There were names like John and Mary, and the whole book was dialog between them about Jehovah's Witnesses.
    92. Since I am letting my age out, I remember the song book BEFORE the pink one. My FAVORITE song was called Consecration (or Dedication). One verse went: Take my feet and take my hands, let them serve your wise commands. Take my heart and bring it lord, with your will in full accord. Take my life, may ALL I do be well-pleasing, Lord to you.

I recently read the book "The World is Flat" and it has a section on organizational change. One of the statements in the book was that when you walk around a company and all you hear is "how it used to be," you know the company is on the decline. This thread reminded me of that.

The following don't strike me as anything a dub would put into an email or that other dubs would willingly forward along. They MIGHT say some of these things in private conversation but I doubt this would be in a pro-dub email.

    3. When all Elders and Ministerial Servants only wore white shirts. You better not come out with a colorful combination

    12. Regular Pioneers put in 100 hours per month (and there was no "yearly special"; like when it went to 90 / 1000 for the year). 100 hours per month meant 1200 for the year...

    Sounds odd to me.

Sounds like a cleverly written and worded commentary on the demise of the religion masked to sound nostaligic. While some of the points are plain old nostalgia(if eating hoagies and drinking Shasta can be called that) several of the points seem to point out organizational changes and beg the reader to question the motives behind them.

I'm sure someone still with contacts on the inside sent this to all his active dub friends hoping they would mindlessly forward it on. The more people that see it, the more that might actually question something. It's a great way to drop the little seed of doubt without being confrontational or divisive.
