Thanks Belbab! And sorry about your sister. There have been some strides with Lupus lately but it is still an insidious disease.

i was removed as an elder soon after receiving their letter the co we had at the time had a copy of my letter to them and also the letter they sent to me.

Idrnomo' s letter is not up there, only society's reply. But from the reply you get a pretty good idea of what the letter was all about.

Heads up, the Local Needs part this week is a special talk on blood transfusions.
by miseryloveselders ina brother called me to ask who was delivering the talk at our hall.
i didn't know what he was talking about.
he then explained to me that this week, for the local needs, congregations across the us will have a brother deliver a special outline on blood transfusions.. .

If an 89 year old woman can pioneer, why can't you slackers and bums do it?

It's the same guilt trip they have always used. It right up there with the african sister who crosses the crocodile infested river to get to the meeting.
The dilemma is this: who will take the responsability of taking the 89 year old sister out everyday?? Someone has to step up to the plate and "babysit".
There is a very old brother in my area. He is out every single day. He does not drive and is very bossy. Dubs shudder when its their turn to pick him up. No offence to seniors but he has become a burden on others.

I do remember those articles discouraging couples to have children. I was also present at one district convention in the mid eighties, where the district overseer gave a talk entitled "Responsible procreation". He said loud and clear that this was not the time to bring children in the world.
I was not married at the time- and being the loyal dub I always was and lapping all that was being said----I decided then and there that I would not have children in the system, but continue to spend my days pioneering.
I carried this resolve into my marriage---Thank God for the unplanned arrival of a child----if this had not happened I would have been childless.
I hate this organization for the controlling peoples lives and doing a good job at ruining them too

ex-pioneer/ex-elder reveals his disappointment/disbelief in wt doctrine to elder/friend?
by TheLoveDoctor inyesterday i spoke with an elder i worked closely with just up to a year and a half ago for 3.75hrs about doctrine, gb, teachings that jehovah/jesus/anointed/holy spirit aren't working to well and have been giving us mixed signals (evidently?
) ha ha evidently get it!!!
ge apparently everyone is getting brighter as the day draws near.. since ive been inactive 3 months coming from the so called top 2.5 years ago pioneering and eldering and never missing meetings, i don't believe i could fade and live a lie.
