I am not sure if it's me or you all, but this board seems to be full of more people trying to stay in the org rather than leave it. I have no interest keeping that kind of company.
WOW- that's a pretty harsh and judgmental comment. Sounds like watchtower has taught you well- shunning people only because they are doing things a little different.
Just for the record- I am one of those people staying in.
Believe me its tough to listen to the drivel. I wish I could get out too. But I stay because I have loving elderly parents that would be devasted if I left. So I stay! Its a willing sacrifice I do for them. One day my folks will not be around-then I can take my leave .
You have a lot to learn--

Please critique this statement from the GB
by punkofnice inon another thread (in a galaxy far far away), i saw that one of the paedophile protecting gb members from the brooklyn hate factory made a statement like:.
''it's still the truth(tm), we just have a different understanding of it!''.
please feel free to ridicule, analyse, critique the above propagandist spin..

Lots of Good News everybody!
by OneDayillBeFree inyou know one of the reasons why some witnesses decide to stay inside is to help others wake up and leave as well, and although this hasnt been exactly a goal of mine, it was something i'd ponder every now and again.
and we all know that it is not easy to get to jw's when they are fully mind controlled.
but i'd like to tell you guys what's been happening with brothers and sisters without the help of others who know ttatt.... so last night i got a phone call from a brother who's a good friend of mine whom i've talked about in the past here.

That's great!
Funny yesterday a JW friend confided that she gest more out of watching Joel Olsteen (spel?) than she does at the kingdom hall. A couple of weeks ago another JW friend confided that she is tired of feeling guilty everytime she comes home from a meeting or assembly. So I agree as well that the watchtower is rotting from the the inside out.

As always, I enjoyed your article Cedars. The're great and we often discuss them over breakfast.
I am also of the opinion that watchtower may be asset rich but cash strapped. In the last decade watchtower has had to pay out more than we think. I think of all the cases that have been settled out of court---who really knows how much watchtower has had to pay out.
What I have come to believe is that what happens at the congregation level is usually a pretty good indication of the system problems. I would say that biweekly there is a begging for some sort of fund. The "give give" talks are relentless. And there is not amount of money that seems to be enough for them. -----

Elders, Ministerial Servants & Pioneers That Should Not Have Been Appointed or Should Not Have Remained In Their Positions
by minimus inwere there a lot of elders, ms's and pioneers that should not have had those titles?.

My hubby was appointed at the same time he was active in the so called "apostate" websites. As one fellow poster alluded: so much for the holy spirit's involvement. I have also been acquainted to a number of pioneers that faked their hours. I remember pioneering with an individual who worked the entire month and then reported 130 hours in field circus. What a joke.

How often did you entertain the "Traveling Overseers", and did you regret it afterwards?
by ÁrbolesdeArabia ini found taking the traveling overseers out for a meal, to be a waste of time.
our literature regulary spoke of the upbuilding talk the local congregations received by entertaining our brothers.
now some of the modern cos look at their telecommunication devices, talk of things not related to our ministry or phone it in.

Growing up we entertained them everytime they came- Either for lunch or dinner. I got to see how these "servants" really took advantage of the world--travelling, fine dining, designer clothing. Heck they lived better than most the witnesses in the congregation.
I wouldn't say I regretted it at the time. But these were occasions for a reality check for me. I got to see first hand the hipocracy and how out of touch these people really are.

I will be having a talk tomorrow at our special assembly day
by Most Noble inour special assembly day is tomorrow, although, i dont live in the states though but still, i wont put the theme of my talk up here; you never can tell, but, i will be mentioning some of the main points i will be highlighting.
1) how jehovah views secular education.
2) what should we be doing now with our precious time, considering that we are living at the finishing line of our relay race.. 3) are we heeding to the instructions given by jehovah's bride?'.
