seems as though the number of baptisms even for the young ones is down from what people report here.
at my former hall the young ones are all in totally sheltered even while going to school.
expressing thier desires to pioneer etc.
I don't see a huge exodus of young people. Believe or not the young jw's are having loads of fun. Many are world travellers (under the guise of going where the need is great). Service is a joke. I see pictures of groups of these kids standing with their carts and having a great socialization with each other.
When I was growing up , there was a lot of the young population that left or got disfellowshipped, but I have not seen one young person being disfellowshipped . At least not in my area.
i am just curious who on this board is in the same situation has i am?
a spouse that is fully brain doogled in and you are awake to ttatt.. without going into serious detail and no names are given.

i was contacted by my ex sister-in-law yesterday.
she asked me if i wanted to spend some time with my niece, while she went to her sister's baby shower.
it turns out my niece can't go because she's about to be disfellowshipped at the ripe old age of 14. .
i have spent 45 years of my life sacrificing my soul to the watchtower.
twenty-five of those years as a ms/elder.
i gave every moment to them.

i attended his funeral this morning.. on thursday evening, i went to the body "viewing" and it was "family only.
" i am part of the family (through marriage) so, i was there.. i was welcomed with joy and enthusiasm like a long lost (prodigal) sheep.
the resurrection is supposed to be a joyous occasion?, if it ever happened!
--well, this week's showing at the hall was the opposite, it was about death with violins playing in the background.
a recently bereaved member, , full of tears, (like many others) could not contain herself.
