  Craziest thing you ever saw in a KH?

  i did this in my facebook group for my podcast and it was fun.. so what's the craziest thing you ever saw?.

  for me it was watching a brother have a heart attack during the meeting in the auditorium.

  i was a kid and noticed him shaking and acting strange.

  Too many ! but two stick in my mind:

  1. sister gets up and drops head long on the floor. The speaker kept on talking as if nothing happened.

  2. there was a mouse on the stage during the meeting. Two or 3 elders were trying to catch it while the speaker continued giving the talk. I swear all I needed was popcorn to make the show complete.

  3. the mouse appeared again during the theocratic ministry school. The two sisters were pretending to speak on a corded phone. The mouse was going up the cord. Once again the elders were up on stage trying to catch it.
  

  I kid you not this actually happened. I don't recall they ever caught that pesky thing. But it was entertaining

  Do Jw's Dress up in meeting clothes for Zoom meetings?

  i am just curious if anyone knows whether the "friends" still are required to wear "meeting clothes" for attending meetings through zoom?

  such emphasis on dressing in a godly manner over the decades, would be interesting if some attend in pajamas or their work clothes, no makeup, etc....

  In my area, they are encouraged to dress as at the meeting. Some men wear suits. You can tell because these folks actually stand for the song and prayer.

  Is there a WT - Aspergers Connection?

  so after much research, i'm convinced that my dad and both my older brothers have aspergers.

  they can come across as jerks at times especially when their guard is down.

  however, they can hide it extremely well when they want to, with pointed effort.

  I don't know if there is a connection, but I know a number of witnesses who definitely were on the spectrum. Some also in my own extended family.

  Weekly Meeting Importance Being Reduced - Your Thoughts?

  i am pimo, but now have 40+ years of being a jw as i was raised in a 3rd generation family of witnesses and continue to fake my way through things - fading as i can.. for the vast majority of my time as a jw, the meetings were the central focus for all jws to get teaching, association, information and so on.

  nothing was more important than being at the meetings!

  over the last 20 years starting with the elimination of the weekly book study in homes and continuing down to today - my opinion is that the value/purpose of the weekly meetings continues to be diluted or minimized.

  What will it take to make the transition away from meetings?

  JWtom, I don't think it would take that much. Look how quickly they removed the book study. In all my 50 years of association, it was drilled ad nauseum that the book study was THE most important meeting for a JW. The reasoning was that in the event of persecution or or a ban, the book study would provide spiritual solace. But literally overnight, the book study disappeared and no one batted an eye.

  The Motive of the Governing Body

  however, i found some old emails from ray franz that promoted me to write an article that answers a question i regularly receive.

  it is in regards to the motive of governing body members.

  i'm not totally new here, as i'm reading since some time...then i tried to sign up but had some technical issue with the email,eventually recovered..... i'm from north italy, for your info from the region where the covid is worse.

  i'm male, generation millennial(...unfortunately not the overlapped generation :))) ) ..sorry to don't go in so much details, but i'm pimo ;).

  hope i can contribute to this community and help as much i got from you guys.... have nice weekend!.

  everyone entered the zoom room, then the audience got to listen to the "don't eat the cookies or drink the wine" speel and theeeeennnn, every family passed the cookies and wine in their home. Even the families made up of 1

  Have You Isolated Yourself Because of the Virus 🦠?

  some people i know have not gone out of their houses in weeks.

  some will walk near their homes and run right back in.

  meanwhile, i go food shopping and i see tons of people, many with masks and gloves on..

  We've pretty much quarantined ourselves. One person goes grocery shopping. We set up a small table outside for take out and one table inside to carefully transfer food on sanitized dishes. Then we sanitize everything and wash our hands about every 1/2 hour.
