  Haha - I had something similar happen to me. I was listening to a cassette of music that someone worldly gave me. My father ripped it out of the cassette player and threw it out. He was yelling that he didin't want anything worldly in his house. When I think about that incident, I feel so sorry for my younger me who only wanted to listen to some music and it wasn't even Led Zepplin :)

  You couldn’t get more knowledgeable on Watchtower history than AlanF for example, and James Woods who knew Ed Dunlap personally. Larc and Farkel and of course Leolaia and many more could be mentioned. These people not only knew about Watchtower history - some of them had front row seats. We don’t have so many detailed discussions about the history any more.

  I am with Slim with this one.
  I remember comparing the "Aid" book with the "Insight" volumes and there was very little that was changed. They added pictures to the "insight" volumes and dressed it up but for the most part it was copy and paste of the "Aid" book.

  Almost got caught lying about listening in to yesterday's Memorial

  i have not attended any kingdom hall meetings in 10 years.

  the elders gave up on me a while ago.. the last 3 years i get phone calls to listen in to zoom meetings.

  listened in several times... nothing has changed!

  Rules,
  whenever someone asks me what I thought about a talk. I always throw the ball in their court: "And what did you like about the talk". Most often the person initiating doesn't really have any idea either because frankly, no one listens because subconsciously they block it out.

  I remember this very well. There was another piece to the phrase. it was reading the watchtower and awake for 6 months is the equivalent to a college education.
