also, we have re- peatedly seen good results when brothers and sisters are prepared with go bags and are ready to obey direction when they face various kinds of disasters.

please be sure you have a go bag, and review its contents at least once a year.

Are they getting grants and funding for this? In Canada there are grants available for organization for their disaster prepareness programs. The way they go at it, money must be involved

Assembly with the branch representative

we had the meeting with the branch representative this weekend.. the air was different than usual.. bearded ushers at the parking lots welcomed the brothers warmly.. lots of sisters with dress pants or not, nothing scandalous.. the representative of the italian branch made his debut on stage with his full beard.. location: roseto degli abruzzi (italy-europe).

some interesting statistical data can give a little food for thought after the numerous changes that have occurred in recent months (the ten-year or five-year plan, if you prefer, seems to be producing some small results).. attendance has increased since the last meeting.. our constituency includes 1725 publishers and those present in the morning were 1553, a little better than the november 2023 convention.

perhaps the new changes have brought some back to attendance?.

things are changing so rapidly.

there is so much confusion now.. if we can talk to disfellowshiped/disassociated ones to invite them to meetings then is it really going to stop there?.

some family members haven’t had contact for decades and now after yesterdays new light they will all be getting calls.

I think of all the pain people went through because of the old policies and now all wiped out. No shame.

many jws had copies bound together with their bibles.

it was huge in jw land back then.. at that time, with the reasoning book, jws were trained to keep conversations going in spite of objections, to almost stick their feet in people's doors to keep conversations going, to defend "the truth," to argue doctrine, etc.. compare the situation today with that of the 80's.

'm sure many JWs kept the Reasoning book hidden in their Bibles so they could look at it without alerting the householder to the fact that they were just parroting Watchtower statements.

The reasoning book was the holy grail. You never left home without it. I was pioneering during all the 80's In your service case the reasoning book took priority. Now it's discarded like the piece of shite that it really was. I see from the website that it's available online.

For a long time , the gb has been prepping/grooming the rank and file that there will be changes coming that we may not agree on. I believe that this will be the next big change. It's in the works but they haven't rolled it out completely but its coming.

Prior to the JW affiliation with the UN, many of us would never have believed it. Well, it was true.

I never thought I would see the day they would accept beards and remove the reporting and yet here we are.

The 1914 doctrine is not sustainable , 607 is a made up year , it has to be eliminated.

This is an evil, pragmatic organization that is looking out for its own existence and they will stop at nothing. They will trample their own doctrines to survive.
