  Use of the word jah?

  i have noticed on ex sites the use of the word jah in reference to jehovah.

  is this just a slang used by ex's or do active also use it?

  if active members use it, doesn't it seem a bit disrespectful then?

  if the truth be told.....that is if the Watchtower wants too....I'll tell you.....As you may know by now Bethel really dislikes the Catholic church....yet a lone 15th century catholic monk came up with jehovah, let alone jeh.

  Now I forget his name, but someone ot there should know it........of course now the Catholic Church may not want anyone to know, because they wish it to be anonymous too......HEY! Didn't I hear that same excuse when I confronted the watchtower on who translated their bible?

  1975 was an interesting year. According to those around 1874, 1914, was too. Even 1941 and not to mention 1925.

  Of course 2003 too, but that never got off the ground. Back in the early part of the 70's, I was studying with JWs and I got caught up in the 1975 thing too. With all of the world's problems I thought 1975 was the coming of Armageddon too. But after the brother's Dfd my ex-wife I discovered that as back as 1874 armageddon was coming. So after 1874 came and went Russell said, for sure, 1914 was the year all systems of this world will come to a close.

  "HEY RUSSELL, it's 2005. Either the new system is invisible or your ship slipped you by."

  Just a thought here, Jesus was quite clear when He said no man knows the time of My coming. The Father alone knows it.

  So......is the Watchtower the Father of Christ? Need I say more.

  according to the watchtower the generation that saw the beginning of the end began in 1914. as for the 144,000, that ended some where in the late 1970s.

  i guess god changed his mind on ending the system.

  why even up to the 1990s the awake kept saying it, yet it's changed.. as for the two witnesses......some jws say they already came....died....and are living now.

  Well, theThinker, according to a few JWs, a few years back, when I was questioning about 1914, being when Christ was suppose to come....that is after armageddon didn't come. I brought up a revelation prophecy about the two witnesses who spend a little of 1,000 days preaching in Jerusalem..where as no one could harm those witnesses.....A few JWs told me that it stood for the many years some of the watchtower brothers spent time in prison because of they wouldn't involve themselves in or about WW I and WW II.

  As for Revelation 9:11 where many JWs think Abaddon is Christ. Now that's an interesting tale...

  hey Simon! I may not be new, but then again anything that happens will happen. As I see it, it's a great spot(this web site) to seek out and try to understand scripture as it is, not what someone thinks it is. Oh I'm sure there are plenty who'll use divine providence and add on what they think it may be applied.

  Wishing not to offend, but some may take it that way personally. At the same time the first release of the Christin Greek Scriptures is sure different then today's NWTHS.(usually in green)

  if jesus said to keep celebrating the memorial 'until he returned' and he returned in 1914 then why do we still celebrate the memorial?

  isn't he here already!?!.

  according to scripture Jesus did tell us to do it until His return. So if Jesus return in 1914..why are they still doing it? It sounds to me, my opinion, that it was a command. Or is it that the WT is waffling?

  When one asks a question like that, it's not spiltting hairs.....it's an important question one must have an answer.

  so it's fair to say is everyone who believes and loves him is a believer and therefore are son's of god.

So I leave you with this thought........................ ............."Everyone believing that Jesus is the Christ has been born from God,and everyone who loves the one that caused to be born loves Him who has been born from that one."1 John 5:1...NWT-------- So basically,if we all...everyone.....believes in Christ we are Born Again.....think about it...

  BOE letters re: 1975

  were they any pre- or post-1975 boe letters with specific instructions about 1975?

  or how to deal with dissapointed ones etc.

  I don't know about a,"BOE," letter,but I was there in 1973..read the Watchtower in 1968 and was frazzled when nothing took place after 1976.So when 1975 came and went some of the brothers told me to check it out.They already knew I was a researcher in the field of theology so I went for broke.

  I questioned everyone who could have answers for me.The Elders(commettee) talked to me twice on the issue.My magic trick was...I was never baptized...but my ex-wife was.

  Since they couldn't answer me I began questioning on 1874,then 1914,1919,1925,1940,and about the big issue in the 70s was.....Christ the Mediator for the 144,000 only.{Prince of Peace,"book}Plus I knew families and I personally knew about a half dozen very old ones who were of the Anointed.

  Also at the time I tried to contact Ray Franz and to my surprise,he was disfellowshipped.The Anointed..being disfellowshipped?Oh my!

  Now days I'm,also,on ICQ.com and got a Witness to denie all of this......She said I was lying....lol,except for Franz............
