Ok, let me show my ignorance of world affairs. What is the difference between Iraq and N. Korea? I mean, besides the oil. North Korea has said a lot more dangerous things recently, and yet there is not only no build up of arms, the US is trying to negotiate. Why?

Blair: Saddam Will Be Disarmed Whatever It Takes.
by Englishman inas reported on sky news, this from the pm's news conference some 45 minutes ago:blair firm on iraqthe prime minister says he passionately believes saddam hussein must be disarmed of weapons of mass destruction.
he said britain must show rogue states "that when we say we intend to deal with the issue of weapons of mass destruction, we mean it".
mr blair, giving his monthly downing street news conference, said there was still time for the iraqi dictator to give up his weapons programmes.. but if he did not, he would have to be disarmed by force.. "i know and understand the concerns that people have," mr blair said.

Did they overlook you?
by JH inwith all the talking about visiting inactive ones, i wonder how many inactive people have not been visited yet?
if you weren't visited yet, could it be because they df'd you, and you don't know about it?

I was contacted once, when I first started my fade, by a couple of elders in my "new" congregation who barely knew me. One of them said he thought I was just going through a phase, which totally pissed me off considering he was sitting on MY couch in MY house. So I politely asked them to leave. Never heard from them again. I now live in a different territory, and sometimes dubs come through that I have known for years. They don't make special visits, they are just working my street in service. They say hello, say hi to my son, and go their own way. Pretty much everyone knows where I live, but since my family is still in, and well respected, and since I am married to a non believer and obviously not living in sin, I don't know if they care. My holiday decorations are always small (because we're too lazy to go through too much effort), but they are there, so there's no doubt we are celebrating. Maybe they put that down to my "worldly" husband. I don't want them to come by to talk, though, because my bitterness level is pretty high these days, and I might say something that would make them come after me.

Hard to Conceive?
by ISP intwins have different fathers
a croatian woman who slept with two men at the same time has given birth to twins with two different fathers.. the 23-year-old student, who has been named only as m.b, gave birth to non-identical twins in zagreb seven months ago.. however, she has revealed that dna testing has shown the children have different fathers.. she told daily jutarnji list: "i was shocked at getting pregnant and even more surprised when doctors told me that my two sons had different fathers.".
doctors have said twins being born to different fathers is extremely rare.

I seem to remember another story like this years back, when the boys were actually different races, one white and one black. I know it wasn't a rumor, because it was in Newsweek or Time, or some other legitimate media. Anyone else remember that?
And yes, this is the epitome of a person with loose morals. I guess she never heard of STDs.
YUCK!!!!!!!

I just thought of another pastime for you. Since you can't find a job, you should try selling Avon. It only costs $10 to sign up, and it's actually pretty fun. You can meet some people, and if you decide to go door to door (since you are so experienced at it ), at least you might make some profit. I've been selling part time for almost a year. I hardly make any money, but it's fun, and it supports my book habit. Let me know if you want details, and I'll get someone out to see you no matter where you are. E-mail me at [email protected] if you are interested.

I'm sorry, Jes, that you are going to be alone. BUT, this may be a good time to hang with your girls and have a little fun. Or do some serious house keeping type stuff that you've been putting off. Just keep really busy, and the time will go faster. Personally, I would love a couple of days to myself. I haven't been alone in the two years since my son was born. As much as I love him, sometimes a girl just needs some alone time, you know? And don't worry, we'll be here on the board for you.

Breaks my heart
by MrMoe inthe other day a foster mom asked if she could talk to me for a moment.
it seems a little boy i become more than close to here at the school will be up for adoption very soon, as his parents will not be allowed to have contact with him after years worth of thier case being reviewed due to child abuse and neglect.
she asked me if i would like to raise him and adopt him as my own.

He is completely adorable, and it is completely understandable that you are in pain over his not having a real home. I admire people like you for working with these types of children, I could not do it. I would cry every single day. My son is two, and there is NOTHING that would make me leave him or mistreat him. I don't understand how people can look into the eyes of an innocent, and harm them. Bless you, and bless Robby, I sincerely hope he finds a loving home very soon.

Marriage is .................. a partnership. And it's important that BOTH partners participate fully, because
Marriage is ................. hard work. It's a job that you don't go home from, it's the job you go home to, but
Marriage is .................. worthwhile. Even though I sometimes contemplate leaving my husband, I will never regret that I married him.
Good luck and much love.
