  How many ways can a man romance a woman??

  hi everyone.i just wanted to see if i could get some help here for a male friend of mine.

  he is having a hard time with the romance deptartment.

  i gave him a few ideas of my own but i thought if i threw the question out there maybe i could get him some views on how to romance a woman..... thanks for any sugggestions.

  Ok, first I have to call Nilfun out on her plagiarism of the song "One Hundred Ways" sung by James Ingram.

  Second (pushes Joannadandy gently out of the way) I have to snuggle up to Eric

  Third, BeautifulGarbage is right on the money from the married lady perspective.

  Romance is really mostly in the mind. If he listens, remembers, and asks questions, especially when they are cuddling, he will be well on the way to winning her heart. Gifts are nice, but not the expensive stuff, the small and thoughtful stuff. Like, one guy I dated bought me a tin of teacakes, because I had mentioned to him how much I missed my grandmothers teacakes. They are not easy to find in California, and it really touched me that he went out of his way to get them. I had intended to break up with him that night, but that little gesture bought him another two weeks (not any nookie, though).

  Ethics at work

  today i was listening to speaking of faith, a program on npr.. http://www.speakingoffaith.org/programs/2003/08/29_whistle/.

  they were interviewing colleen rowley, the whistle blower who worked for the fbi and wanted to investigate mussoui, before september 11th.

  she was, and so was the host, making the arguement that having a strong religious faith allows one to do the right thing in the face of adversity, and going against the grain, not following the herd blah blah blah.

  Sorry, Joannadandy, no argument here

  It always ticks me off when something bad happens, and my mother says something stupid like "that's what happens with people in the world" or "people in the world don't have any morals" or the like.

  People who get to know me are usually shocked that I am non - religious, because I am moral, ethical, and nice. I go out of my way to compliment people, smile at people, and generally behave in what has come to be known as a Christian manner.

  I am more agnostic than anything, not sure I don't believe in God, but totally sure I don't understand such a being. I behave the way that I do because it makes me feel good inside, and because it's the right thing to do ( IMHO).

  2. I love my family, and we are very very close (unusual, since I am faded)

  she died peacefully in her sleep.

  i admit to it (as i'm spraying on my chanel christalle and putting on my make up.

  spent last night tearing through vogue; my mani/pedi appointment is tonight.....).

  Xena, SP and I are on the same page.

  I can count on one hand the times I've worn more makeup this year. As a matter of fact, it's two, both for very special occasions when my picture was going to be taken. Otherwise, my daily makeup is eyeline only (I look tired without it).

  On the other hand, I love the toes, and polishes. Not my fingernails, for some reason I then smear the polish on papers, etc. I have fairly long healthy nails, people often think I have a french manicure just because of how nice they look.

  I work out several times a week, so my hair is usually in a ponytail. I don't know if many people on this board can relate, but black hair is not wash and go, and I don't have time to "do" it every few days.

  I like the smell good stuff, but have sensitive skin, so don't use a lot of it. I used to wear dresses all the time, as well as business suits, but now I hate stockings so much, I almost always wear pants. I'm a bit old fashioned, I don't like to see women in suits without nylons.

  I have my own parafin wax dipper, and at least two pedicure sets.

  Personality quirks that make you mad!

  i'm not keeping this to jws only, but i remember one that used to make me want to punch him just because of the way he acted.. he'd come up to me, and he'd have one hand put halfway in his suit jacket, and he'd make a *click* sound with his tongue inbetween sentences.

  that really drove me up the wall!.

  anyone else know a person who would just drive you nuts because of the way he/she acted?
