here is a classic of "hate is ugly".

everyone inside dies.

They then get to meet their maker, and because of the grief they have
experienced; he decides to grant them one wish each, before they enter
They're all lined up, and God asks the first one what the wish is.
"I want to be gorgeous," and so God snaps His fingers, and
it is done.
The second one in line hears this and says "I want to be
gorgeous too."
Another snap of His fingers and the wish is granted.
This goes on for a while but when God is halfway down the line, the
last guy in line starts laughing.
When there are only ten people left, this guy is rolling on the floor,
laughing hysterically.
Finally, God reaches this guy and asks him what his wish
will be. The guy calms down and says:..........................
"Make 'em all ugly again

wow...i watched most of the colts vs. bucs game last night and i have to say that was possibly one of the best games i have seen in a long time.
3 touchdowns in 4 minutes!
and a wobbly field goal to win the game....it was a fun watch.. sincerely,.
That game was definitely one in a million! Bad calls from the officials, from the didn't happen roughing the kicker call to the unsportsman like conduct for leaping (which, while technically correct is a stupid rule), added to the excitement. I love that Tony Dungy won, since his former team owners didn't appear to appreciate him much.
On the other hand, I like Gruden too, and this was a REALLY tough loss for him. I bet he lays into his guys big time about blowing a huge lead in a matter of minutes.

caspian...who is about to party for england....
Caspian,
Best wishes to you, have a great weekend.
Word of advice, if the harrassment doesn't stop, TAKE LEGAL ACTION! You should not be forced to live with it, and perhaps some good will come to the person if they are forced to take a nice long long look at the inappropriateness of their actions.
Mods - great job protecting a member!! Have a beer on me

there was recently a thread asking whether you'd rather be buried or cremated.
in a way, i think both are selfish.
i am already an organ donor, so i figure, why not donate the rest of my body to medical science?
My Dad and daughter were both cremated, with their ashes scattered at sea. I also signed up to be an organ donor a long time ago, so after they remove whatever they can use, off to the fire with the bod. I haven't attended many funerals, but I always found it barbaric to have a dead body there for everyone to "view". Yuck!!! I like when there are lots of pictures around that show the person when they were living and loving. That's how I want to remember people, and that's how I want them to remember me.

my mother told me that after i get married, she's going to give me the "family happiness" book.
i've never read the thing, but i know it's a wts publication that often gets given or mailed out to newlyweds who aren't in the troof.
what's your opinion of this "fine christian publication"?
Dorkycrass said "That is if you choose to be a full-time homemaker, but of course you can always hire a nanny"
Ok, let's see. Faithful witless witness sister marries faithful witless witness brother. He, being so faithful, has a job as a janitor (wouldn't want to waste time on secular education, would we?). They live in a dinky apartment, one step away from moving back in with the parents. The faithful sister may choose to be a full time homemaker, but wait, shouldn't she be pioneering with all her free time?? And of course, if they were a truly faithful couple, they would not have children, but let's just say there was a little goof up and along comes junior. Now, this fiscally responsible husband who brings in the most household money has even more debt, but his wife can "choose to be a full time homemaker"? Oh, sorry, that's right, she can always "hire a nanny" with the extravagant wealth her husband has accumulated scrubbing toilets.
I don't know if you live in an unusually wealthy area, but where I live over 90% of the women work, and they don't have much of a choice. Sure, they could give up living in a fairly safe neighborhood, and wear clothes from a decade ago, and not have money to give any extras to their children, not have savings for a rainy day, etc., but who in their right mind wants to live like that?
I was a dub for over 20 years, and I can count on one hand the number of them who could have afforded to "hired a nanny". I don't know if this was your attempt at sarcasm, but it's so far beyond reality that it's ridiculous.
That book was written by a bunch of old men with little or no recent experience in the real world, and can easily be used as fire kindling.

time to crack the stuffiness out of ourselves today.
well...let's say, everyday.. i'm going to have some fun here, because well, anything besides that, is no fun.. questions, questions, and more questions, and what will the answers be?
you decide.. 1. are you an exjw, but still have remnants (shhh) of former jw thinking?.
1. Are you an exJW, but still have remnants (shhh) of former JW thinking?
Only the basics ? don?t steal, cheat, etc. that are part of most religions
2. Are you 'out' there? as in, not afraid to be seen on an apostate site, or known to be a former JW?
No, I have family still in, and don?t want to ?rock the boat? of our relationship by being labeled an apostate .
3. Are you angry, bitter or sad, as a result of your exposure and participation in JW activities/lifestyle?
Yes, I feel it has limited my experiences, however, I can and have moved on .
4. Do you still have this feeling 'Armageddon' could still come anyday or in the future?
Not Armageddon in the way the JWs think, but definitely some big apocalyptic event, as has always happened throughout history.
5. What was your biggest epiphany that lead you to leave the JWs, or at least make plans to do so?
Lots, probably the fact that I think their God is a horrible, egomaniacal entity.
6. Do you still read/believe in the bible?
Haven?t read it, per se, in a long time, and definitely don?t believe it?s the word of God.
7. Do you still believe in god/higher power?
Most of the time, yes.
8. Do you accept other exJWs with opposing views than yours: athieism/agnostic vs. belief in god/higher power? (vice-versa)
Totally
9. Do you grade people on their disfellowshipping offenses? ie: apostacy, fornication, smoking etc.
Not at all
10. Are you still a JW? (no names required)
What, are you mad???? HELL NO!!!!!
11. Anything you'd like to add, for what it's worth?
