  Brother & Sister-in-Law Return to Kingdom Hall After Two Decades, Quickly Get Stumbled

  it was a mild surprise, learning that a brother and sister-in-law had began re-associating with jehovah's witnesses after at least 25 years of being away.

  the couple, of hispanic ethnicity, are in their early 60's, with their five children all grown and independent.

  the family had been considered nominal jws, infrequently attending meetings, rarely in field service, but using the annual convention as their family vacation.

  If this Witness wasn't qualified to mow the lawn, then certainly the woman who was known to be a sinner had no right to wet Jesus' feet with her tears, dry them with her hair, and pour perfume on them. How could Jesus have allowed it! Oh, wait, it was the Pharisee who thought Jesus was wrong to let her do such a thing.

  In addition, our personal preaching ministry is not "in order to involve other persons to be the participants (followers) of religious organization". We just share the gospel with others, and people, in turn, decide how to act.

  recently susie, one of my co-workers mentioned that her husband's family were all jws.

  the family converted after susie's husband left home, so he never joined the jws, nor does he intend to.

  anyway another co-worker asked her: "what do the jws believe?".

  "Just don't overthink the truth"

  so after almost a year of complete inactivity and non attendance, i ran into a nice brother from the local congregation.. after some nice chit-chat, he says "we really miss you and your family...etc...you were always the kind and supportive one, the approachable and encouraging one in the congregation.

  your absence has confused so many".

  i thanked him and said "oh no, no individual has stumbled us.

  A traveling overseer was asked for help in dealing with doubts. His advice? "Get a hobby." Which translates into, "Find something unrelated to spiritual things to occupy your mind so you don't spend so much time THINKING."

  one of the things i could never understand is people handing over absolute control to these charlatans.

  i know over the years they have bashed owning pets for various reasons.

  complete stupidity.

  There was also a talk at an assembly or a convention. It warned against letting pets take up too much time, as from meetings and field service, or cost too much money to care for.

  Died Due To Refusing Blood Transfusion

  well, last monday my mother, a jehovah's witness since her baptism in 1968 died last week because she would not accept a blood transfusion.

  she was 76 and had lung and skin cancer.

  i know that the cancer would have gotten her anyway, but she was bleeding internally, and was told that she needs a blood transfusion, as her blood count went all the way down to 3.2 (should be 12-14.
