  my parents have finally disowned me.. my dad called yesturday and told me to get the "dogs of my mothers back" about my upcoming wedding.. i told him that i havent put anyone on mum's back and if they are saying it, its because they want to and don't agree with what he and mum are doing.

  i said that mum can speak for herself and he said that she and will and the next time you speak to your mother she will tell you that we dont want to ever speak to or see you again...".

  at this point in the conversation i hung up the phone in his ear.

  I cried while reading your posts.

  Thank you all so much for you support. Its so good to know I have people who know what I am going through. My man is wonderful but doesnt understand the whys and hows.

  I agree. I have 3 step children and there is nothing that could ever stop me from being apart of their lives.

  Blondie, He says they are checking up on me so thats why I feel its only a matter of time..

  Mum and dad havent said why they have stopped talking to me just that they are.

  It has been a while since I have poked my face in here.. I just have been sooooooooooo busy. I am a full time working mum now and i just dont have the time to scratch myself.

  Today, it is quiet at work and there are no managers around so I can spend the time catching up with you all.

  At this point in the conversation I hung up the phone in his ear. I gather the next step is that he will find some excuse to disfellowship me. He has now also got to my sister and she isnt talking to me anymore.

  If it wasn't for my wonderful fiance, I dont know how I would get through this. I feel so alone. I cried all night long last night. Even tho I was expecting it at some stage, it still hurt. I have to greive for them, as I feel like they have died because I know that I wont speak to them again really. the mother and father that I grew up with and love is gone.. I don't know what is left.

  Difference of age

  so many times in the jw, i saw couples getting married.

  but what struck me so often was the difference in age between the man and wife.

  often the man was 15-25 years older than the woman.

  My fiance is 13 years older then me and I couldnt be happier. I dont age has to do with any relationship (unless its underage)

  It is all about the maturity level of each person.

  Do you think JW men treat women worst than 'other' men in power?

  i ask this question because we often hear about jw men (bros., elders, servants, co's etc.

  ) treating sisters as lower and weaker beings than themselves.. but i wonder if it's not just a male-dominant world problem.

  i didn't grow up as a jw so every male i met for 30 years was not a jw.

  Simply... Yes

  My sister has dated 2 and married 1 witness. all 3 of them treated her like crap and her ex husband cheated on her.

  She compares my relationship with my fiance, to be so much better then her three. The power of being head of the house goes to their head I think.
