Creepy True Story

my wife had a lecture today at university, australian aboriginal studies.. the lecturer had last week given out some aboriginal artifacts made by some aborigines in prison.

there were not enough to go around so my wife didn't get one last week.

the deal was that each student keeps it for a week then passes it on to the next student.. so today she was given one of the boomerangs, which was last week given to another student.

Dating between JW and non-JW

i am an outsider ( a non jw from ) and just accidentally happened to follow a link to this site.

i have found these postings really interesting.

i would like to tell you a little story of my own too: i was a while ago in a situation where a dated a jw girl.

I was on the opposite side of the coin. I met a non witness man on line and feel in love with him. I left the JW's for him. Nothing is stronger then my love for him. He will always first in my life, as God intended

Does It Bother You Too??

my sister who is still a jw called me today and was talking to me about my "situation".

i said to her that i am studing, doing research and trying to find my way and what i believe.. i said how mum said is pleading for me to go back to the meetings and i said to my sister that i cannot make up my own mind if i am at the meetings.

her reply was "the only way you can is at the meetings because that is where you get holy spirit from.".

I am doing Ok. I have my cousin's funeral to attend tomorrow and my mother rang me up to say that she will be thinking of me.

To keep her in the right frame of mind I asked her if my cousin would get a resurection. She said of "course she would. her wages have been paid. Wouldnt it be nice if you were the one to welcome her back and study with her in the paradise"

I kinda just agreed with her to keep the peace. this is such a struggle!! My emotions are getting pulled in two different directions. Some days I feel like I am just going to crack in half (that would be good for the figure tho).

I so don't want to lose my family but I know that they will make that decision to stop talking to me...

I said that at the meetings you get told you must do this or else and I need to decide what I want. She then said "arn't you scared about all that is happening??? This proves that it is all going to come true.."Does anyone else get scared and think OMG.. they were right!! I am going to die!!

what is the sweetest or nicest thing somebody of the opposite sex has ever said or done for you?

or what would you want somebody of the opposite sex to say or do to you to make you all happy inside?

i'm not looking for sexual things here just things that make you stop and go "ahh how nice".

The sweetest thing my man had done for me is because this is my first birthday I ever celebrated he made it a big deal for me.

He surprised me the night before a dinner cruise around the lake which was really romantic and the next day he gave me a rose gold braclet. He also sent a huge bunch of flowers to my work and requested my favorite song on the radio telling me how much he loved me.

The day after my birthday he surprised me with a birthday party with all my friends and non witness family there. it was so nice to be spoilt that way.

I must say he is very romantic and does little things all the time that mean so much. I love him so very much!!

i have only just registered at this forum and i would like to know if there are any ex jw's that live in or close to canberra, australia.. i have been shunned by all family and friends because i left the organisation (not disfellowshipped at this stage but won't be long) and i finding it hard to cope with.

i am sorry to be down but i miss all my family and friends and would love to make new friends that know what i am going through.

my boyfriend is very understanding but gets frustrated as he doesn't know why my family are doing this to me.. this sounds like a whingy post but i promise you, i am not normally like this.
