New Movies
by meadow77 inone of my favorite things to do when i'm not getting carpel tunnel, is going to movies.
of course that could also be because there are limited activities here in wichita.
since people start threads at different times about movies they've seen, i thought i would start thread where people could give suggestions for recent movies that they have seen.

I agree that two weeks notice was a nice light comedy. I thought it had some really funny parts, but I would probably recommend renting it too. One of the greatest movies I have seen lately was on video. We rented A Beautiful Mind. I know you can't believe I just now saw it. I really wanted to see it, but I knew it was going to be really long and depressing. I have to be in a certain mood to watch stuff like that. After watching it, I can't believe it took me this long. It was just a fantastic story. Sometimes real stories are even more amazing than anything you could make up.

I saw Adaptation with Nicholas Cage and Meryl Streep today. It's a little on the different side, but I thought it was fabulous. Definitly one of those movies that you could watch again to catch different levels, and one heck of an ending.

fort lauderdale, fla. (ap) - an executive with the company that claims to have produced a human clone was subpoenaed saturday to appear in court and the company was ordered to disclose the whereabouts of the baby girl and her mother.
the witness subpoena and summons were approved by a court at the request of lawyer bernard siegel, who has filed a lawsuit asking the state to appoint a guardian for the child, the lawyer said.

Did anyone catch Rael on Dateline? What a character. First he demanded to be referred to as his holiness. He basically confirmed the fact that the whole thing was for publicity. And then when it was suggested that he might be trying to con people, he threatened to end the interview because he said they were being disrespectful to him. He said "you wouldn't talk like that to a rabbi, or the pope" They showed the plans for his 20 million dollar compound. It's supposed to be for the aliens to land, but I suspect he needs a place big enough to rest his ego. -

Oral Sex

ok, i'm watching the "o'reilly factor", they just aired the case of two hs students who engaged in oral sex on a bus in silverlakes maryland while several other students cheered them on and the bus driver did nothing.
the principal of the school system didn't inform the school board until after the local newspaper broke the story and he refuses to say how the students will be punished.

What I am most concerned about are that the two kids involved in this thought that it was appropriate to engage in oral sex in front of an entire bus. Especially the female involved. Is this an example of kids having harmless fun, or of a young girl possibly being used. I mean some say no big deal, but I wonder what kind of attitudes the same students who were "cheering" them on have towards them later. I wonder what kind of "reputation" this girl has now. I am opposed to the sexual double standards that exist with men and women, but we all know that they exist, especially in high school. Boys are studs, and girls are whores. And these kind of labels get assigned even when things happen in private, let alone on a bus in front of all their peers. Sounds like we are dealing with more than normal high school antics, but with two kids with some real esteem issues, and inappropriate ideas of appropriate sexual behavior.

So, know they have been ordered to put up or shut up. I have to admit, I think they will find just as everyone already suspects that it is a big hoax. But, what if it weren't, do you think it's right for the government to sweep in and steal the cloned effort of someone else? Do you think that they will actually find a cloned baby, or just a hoax?

The best movie I've seen recently was Catch Me If You Can. Leo is a hottie, and is brilliant in this movie. Of course Tom Hanks is his usual great self. The movie was interesting, and funny, and also sad. They say if you can make people cry and laugh in the same movie, you got a hit. Plus it's probably even better since it's based on a true story.

Hiphuggers might be "in" in women's fashion, but they might leave you with tingly thighs.
Ontario Dr. Malvinder Parmar treated three "mildly obese" women between the ages of 22 and 35 who complained of tingly thighs, he said in a letter in the January issue of the Canadian Medical Association Journal. The women had all worn tight low-rise trousers -- also called hiphuggers -- the previous six to eight months. Parmar said the jeans were pinching a nerve, and all three women recovered after four to six weeks of avoiding hiphuggers and wearing loose-fitting clothing.
The tingling feeling, known as meralgia paresthetica, has been associated with wearing various garments and accessories, such as wallets and tight jeans, that compress a nerve.Parmar warned physicians that now that hiphuggers are back in fashion, they should expect to see more of this type of condition. He said that simple observation of patients' dressing habits might provide a clue to the diagnosis

I have discovered the greatest thing about shopping online. Everything is available. I live in Kansas, and we don't have the largest selection at our shops here, but you can shop online, and see everything that's availabe. i also have become a total addict of Yahoo games. I start classes again next week, and I hope I can pull myself away from the online dominoes. I better or I'm not gonna be in school for long.Come on guys, I know you have to have a wealth of knowledge out there of some great sites. Share some. Bump
