He wore sandals and a long, toga like robe.
He would never be able to visit Bethel in that garb.
he violated the sabbath law and he saved a condemned woman from being stoned in compliance with the law.. does it matter he had scruples and self-justifying theological arguments?.
would those arguments have saved anybody else from being put to death?.
technically speaking (the letter of the law) could we truly speak of jesus as really without sin?.

tomorrow is my first day at my new job.
i'm looking forward to it but i'm a little nervous as well.
other than my own computers and a couple of friend's computers, i haven't done a whole lot of this kind of work since 2004. of course before that, i did it exclusively for eleven years.
Good Luck Abandoned!
I know that you will do well. Don't be nervous. Once you start working on the computer it will all come back to you. Just like riding a bicycle.
You are a good man and they are lucky to have you. Just remember that.
this might be a difficult question, but i am going to ask it anyway.
someone here probably knows the answer.. does a pop song probably from the 1980's sung by a solo female artist that ends with several lines of "ahhhhhh" sound familiar to anyone?.
the song ends with the singer modulating "ahhhhhh" for at least 20 seconds.. when this song is played over the radio the dj's sometime "sing" along with the "ahhhhh" part.. ahhhhhh ahhhhhhh ah ahh ahh ahhhhhhh ahhhhhhh a".
The theme song from Friends, I'll Be There For You, I think ends with that sound.
has anyone thought of whether bethel ree labour violate anti-slavery legistation?
I would not categorize Bethelities as slaves. They are fed well at a table with proper utensils. They are given a room with a nice bed to sleep in. They are urged to keep themselves and their clothes clean. They volunteered to come and stay at the Bethel Home and some of them are actually thrilled to be there. They are allowed to leave at any time they wish.
So, no, they are not slaves. They are simply clueless.
do you think jehovah is the father of the watchtower society?
The Watchtower Society invented their God, Jehovah. They endowed their God with the personality traits that they needed from him. For instance, their God counts as worthy only those who go in field service a certain number of hours each month. Their God Jehovah is acutely aware of meetings and who misses them. Their God Jehovah does not want anyone to receive a blood transfusion and would prefer them to die instead.
Jehovah wants you to dress a certain way, to speak a certain way and to never celebrate holidays. He does not want you to salute the flag, vote in elections or join the army or the YMCA. He even publishes the books that he wants you to read.
Yes, Jehovah, as created by the Watchtower Society is their father. They made him, they worship him, they can keep him!
my great grandmother, who has been in the truth forever, just told us a funny story and i thought i would share it with all of you.. we were discussing judge rutherford and she said that she was living in california at the same time as rutherford was living in beth sarim.
the papers at that time ran an article about rutherford and that beth sarim had been purchased especially for moses, abraham and other old faithful servants.. well, one day a hobo came to the door and claimed that he was abraham and that he came to take possession of his home.
i don't know what rutherford was expecting but instead of welcoming this "prince" to his new home he called the authorities to take him away.

Well, one day a hobo came to the door and claimed that he was Abraham and that he came to take possession of his home. I don't know what Rutherford was expecting but instead of welcoming this "prince" to his new home he called the authorities to take him away. The hobo protested all the while he was being lead away, saying that he was Abraham and the house was his.
Well.... anyway....... we all thought it was funny.
